Nomada Hotel Origen

Expensive and get very noisy, especially when you’re trying to sleep in the morning and cars and motorcycles on the street are loud with their engines and honking

I recently stayed at the Nomada hotel Origen in the Poblado Manila area of Colombia and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations.

One of the main concerns was the excessive noise. The room was subject to very loud disturbances until approximately 1:00 a.m. each night. This was not disclosed anywhere during the booking process, and it significantly impacted my ability to rest.

After the first night, I raised the issue with the front desk, but I was informed that no alternative room on a higher floor was available. Additionally, the hotel was unwilling to offer a refund or any flexibility for me to relocate elsewhere.

Due to these issues, despite having originally booked a four-night stay, I made the decision to rebook another hotel, as continuing additional nights at this property was not a viable option.

Accessibility and service were also lacking. There are no handrails along the stairs leading up to the lobby, which may pose challenges for older travelers or those with mobility concerns.

Furthermore, there was no bell service or assistance offered upon arrival to help with luggage. While there is an elevator available to reach the rooms after the initial set of stairs, the lack of support at entry is inconvenient and not particularly welcoming.

Cleanliness was another disappointment. The sink appeared old and not properly maintained, and the bathroom overall could benefit from a more thorough and consistent cleaning standard.

Finally, the lack of basic in-room amenities, such as a coffee machine, was surprising and detracted from the overall comfort of the stay.

Given these issues, I would encourage the hotel to improve transparency about noise levels, invest in better maintenance and cleanliness, enhance accessibility and guest support, and consider offering essential amenities expected by most travelers.

Einzig einen Balkon – wie es auf Booking im Inserat steht – hatte ich nicht. Aber ich hatte ja sowieso nicht mit einem Upgrade auf ein Deluxe-Doppelzimmer gerechnet, insofern auch nicht mit einem Balkon.

Its not too accessible, you have to go up some stairs but overall truly great stay.

No insonorisation at all. Impossible to sleep at night. You can hear everything coming form outside, car alarms, dog barking, music and people taking. The room had a kitchenette space but no coffee maker or kettle, so you need to wait for the downstair coffee shop to open at 7:00am. There was a safe in the room but it was close when I arrived and nobody managed to opened it. There is no juguzzi on the roof (which I saw in some advertising, not sure if there was one at one point). Staff does not speak english and I had trouble getting clear instruction regarding street parking. I came by car for a small city break and I knew it would be hard so I wrote in advance regarding this topic still did not get answer before last minute (thank to the coffee shop waitress).

Niets, het is wat gehoriger, maar mijn kinderen sliepen hier ook gewoon doorheen.

De bedden waren wat aan de harde kant en geluid van buitenaf hoor je goed in je kamer.

There was a fire alarm in the hall that was beeping indicating it needed a new battery.

Overpriced food & noice early in the morning because of the restaurant under our rooms. Need more care to the tenants!

Upper floors were not well soundproofed so the club on the roof made it difficult to sleep in the upper floors. Those of our party on the lower floors had no issues. Because of all the plants we did notice a few ants on the last day in the room

Manque d’insonorisation

Es war wirklich sehr sehr laut! Ebenfalls wurde unser Zimmer während unseres Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt.
