Beautfull location
Very friendly stafg
I can’t explain how amazing this place is. Do not hesitate to book. It was fantastic. The staff are amazing and the location is breathtaking. We spent 16 days in China and this was our favourite place.
Nothing. Perfect.
The owner is an absolute gem. She gives you the kind of personalised local experience you dream of on a trip like this. Sharing her local knowledge about the region and driving us to locations where we wanted to go hiking. Feeding us fresh pomelo and homemade yoghurt. What a lovely experience we had staying here. The walks around the hotel are lovely. Highly recommend.
It is not possible to have a better location then this. Easy access to everything. The staff worked so hard to help organise experiences and were definitely the reason our trip was such a great success.
Nothing. It was amazing. China is a hard place to travel for western people. We found things like “food” difficult. But the hotel worked extra hard to provide for us.
The location is very nice, in front of the river and between the mountains, in a quiet village, next to Xinping. Very picturesque indeed. The service is very personal. The owner is always present and tries to please the guests. Actually she drove us herself to a spot to watch the sunset.
I did not like the fact that there was no food and drinks service after 10:00 pm in the Hotel, although there were no other shops closeby to buy something A basic room service till 24:00 with something simple and light, like a salad or sandwich, and a glass of wine or beer would suffice. The room had a very small closet for cloths, shoes, and no hangers for towels, bathrobes etc. The room was huge and nice but not functional. I like to have my things organised even during short stays but the room we stayed in did not meet this need. Also the swimming pool was emptied for cleaning purposes during our stay, so we could not use it, although it was so ... necessary due to the hot weather.
Stunning small hotel in amazing location with friendly staff. Really wonderful.
This is a lovely quiet hotel set on a spur off the Li river, away from the crowds of Xingping (let alone the gridlocked streets of Yangshuo). It’s surrounded by the river, the peaks, and fruit farms
The interior has beautiful rooms, some eye catching Chinese modern art, and a spectacular array of geological displays
The roof terrace is spectacular and is a good setting for drinks, as well as the lovely restaurant
The food was great - for both breakfast and dinner
There’s an outdoor pool for cooling off
You can borrow their bikes and cycle round the farms along the river
Most memorable though was the very proactive and flexible help that the owner Joan and her staff gave us in getting around and seeing lovely things: hill climbing, tea plantation and the Liu Sanjie show in town. Special thanks to Nicole, Joan’s Worldpackers volunteer, who helped us so much. Everyone really wanted us to max our trip!
We need to come back! And do more hiking, calligraphy and watercolours!
The location is a real plus for this hotel, but it’s still a hassle to get here from the high speed railway station. Staying around Yangshuo would be much more hassle of course given the distance and the traffic, but adjust your expectations if you arrive during the day.
This is definitely a place for quieter evenings rather than one from which you can explore a town’s restaurants etc. Best to stay on site and eat! But don’t miss Liu Sanjie!
It’s pricey for China, but is a reflection of this area and the high season.
Super Nice staff….日本語もできます。
Suite was super comfortable.
A bit remote… thought it was an infinity pool but it’s a pool and smaller one
Gorgeous scenery from the room and rooftop with kind and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms with modern technology. Amazing Chinese breakfast and free transfer to the train station in Yangshuo and the pier to catch the ferry to Ancient city of Xingping.
On the other side of the river from Xingping requiring a ferry ride and electric cart transfer made leisure wandering into town not a possibility.
We were lucky enough to spend a few days at this small, family-run hotel right by the river – and it was simply perfect!
The rooms are spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The food was an absolute highlight: authentic, fresh, and perfectly seasoned.
What truly made our stay unforgettable was the hostess and her team – so warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Whether we needed advice on day trips, help organizing transportation, or just had little requests, we were met with incredible support.
The location right on the river is stunning and offers endless opportunities for outdoor activities in the breathtaking karst mountains around Yangshuo.
We’ve stayed at many excellent hotels across China, but this one stands out by far. If you’re looking for a special, personal, and truly memorable place to stay, this is it.
Highly recommended – we will definitely be back!

Clean, comfortable and in the very beautiful place which is¹ approximately 30-40min.from Yangshuo and 1.5 hours from Guilin. Taxi is not that expensive.
If you coming here for the nature that is your spot. Tranquility and the beauty of the nature are out of this world, birds singing whole day long and the staff will do everything to make you feel comfortable. Hiking and plenty of activities are available. The girl at the reception is very nice and helpful.
The breakfast is not much of the choice
The breakfast was just OK. Nothing special compared to other places
Food and alcohol selection were subpar.
Great location, very helpful staff. Comfortable rooms. Great views, especially from the roof top. Nice places to walk around from the hotel.
Just be aware that there's quite a lot of construction in the village nearby (though you can't hear it) and you'll need to walk along the road sometimes but it's fine! Was a little pricey for what it was.
This was a lovely surprise. It is on the quiet side of the river, meaning you have a 5 minute ferry and a buggy cart ride to get to/from the hotel, but what a blessing that is.
The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff are outstanding, so helpful, full of advice, and constant care. We went caving with the owner, we did hikes, we rode horses, we went to local shows, and spa making for an amazing three night say.
I might suggest checking if the pool is open which it was not, but other than that the staff really make this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, modern touches and a touch of cute. Would definitely recommend this hotel for ones that want to visit the area but seek to be just slightly out of the crowds of Guilin and Yangshuo yet still have full access.
Nice hotel in beautiful surroundings. The rooms have a lounge seating area for tea. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Breakfast may be a bit limited but is very tasty, delicious noodle soup.
Room was beautifully designed and classy.
Service was amazing.
Staff were attentive, personable, warm and genuine.
Breakfast was tasty and there was variety
Felt like family. Awesome staff.
Would be nice to have a opaque door instead of a blind for the bathroom for more privacy.
