We arrived late but staff stayed on and waited for us.
WiFi signal too weak to use.
TV pictures are constantly breaking up or no picture at all.
Showers very noisy, sounded like a generator running. That was all the rooms so got woken up early by neighbouring guests showing.
Only two plug sockets in the room and none by the bed.
Comfortable and clean, breakfast was adequate
Booked an evening meal - called an hour before arrival to say ‘owing to the water problems’ they couldn’t cook anything and the kitchen was closed. Forced to pick up a sandwich from a service station instead.
On arrival I booked in and it was quite clear they had been cooking and quite recently, too. I could smell the cooking, they were still clearing away, and people in the bar were discussing what they had eaten.
I appreciate there were problems, don’t appreciate being lied to - and note they were quite capable of cooking breakfast next morning. They could easily have made the sandwich and some salad, offered something basic such as ham, egg and chips I’m not unreasonable. But they lied and didn’t even offer me an apology or a beer!
Comfortable bed
Friendly staff
Could be a bit cleaner but other than that was completely fine.
Gardens looked lovely, staff very friendly
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Hard poached eggs and toast seemed wet from water off eggs
L endroit
La literie
Good location, only a few minutes walk from the beach and plenty of free parking. Staff were friendly. Free WiFi.
Some healthy options at breakfast would have been nice, eg. fruit or yogurt.
Only two plug sockets in the room which was a bit limiting, no safety features on the window so it could not be left open (it was very easy for someone from outside to get in)
Ideally located for our purpose of access to the King Charles 3 Coastal Path.
Stale smell from smokers
Adequate
No air conditioning
Constant 'humming' noise in the room
Mould around the shower tray
Every thing.
There is nothing to comment about totally satisfied.
Very little
Dirty ,uncared for , outdated
The location and the bedsheets were white and laundered.
The property is nothing like advertised the photographs must be from when it was new.
The carpets were filthy I had to wear my flip flops all the time.
The bathroom is was extremely dated and the tiles on the floor were dirty.
The location was perfect and checking in & put was super simple.
Breakfast was really good with the staff being polite and efficient.
The hotel looks really lovely and it felt very safe too which is super important as a solo traveller.
Tea/Coffee/Hot choc in the room which was a welcomed bonus.
The bed was hard and the room a little dated.
The bed was comfortable.
Staff in breakfast had stopped serving and removed all food well before 9pm and took great delight in telling us that they had finished serving. When we pointed out that it was not yet 9:00 they quickly replied that their clock was slow ! Strange mentality.
The place is a depressing old motel with cigarette buts and broken glass in front of all the rooms. The paintwork inside is badly done and is a depressing brown colour. The legs of the bed project into the room ready to damage your toes
The new team had only taken over the week before, and were making changes to freshen the hotel up.
All staff very friendly, and the hotel was part of the community.
The breakfast was good and the bar
The guy on the front desk when we arrived wasn’t particularly engaging. When I asked about breakfast times etc he went to find out but it would have been nice to have been told without asking or at least welcomed like we were actually supposed to be there and not an inconvenience. The first room we were given smelled so badly of smoke that we couldn’t even walk inside properly but when we asked we were given a new room. The mattress in the room we were in was very soft and the shower was too small but I realise you can’t do anything about that.
