Parking available outside majority of rooms with its motel feel. Good spacious communal garden patio doors invite. Clean overall. Even though small space enough for two. It's all you need for a stay. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Great deal with brekky included. Will be back next year and see the changes made whilst it is upgraded. Can only make it an even greater experience for all, though the prices will rise slightly I still feel it will be good and I look forward to many more visits there.
It is dated with regard to furniture and shower unit. Though we are told it is at the very beginning of a full refurbishment which is great news. It would benefit from perhaps some rooms being for mobility issues some access ramps back and front. Shower rooms as either wet rooms or larger enclosure not at height to prevent any falls. Perhaps a double socket near bed with USB plug would be a great advantage.
We stayed here as we were looking to do the local parkrun. The location is PERFECT for that as the parkrun starts and finishes at the end of the road.
We were back in time for breakfast - which was very good.
Great value for money.
Beds are comfy.
Free wi-fi.
Lots of parking.
Very friendly, attentive staff.
Clean, good temperature rooms.
Very quiet at night - slept VERY well.
Dated rooms.
Shower was suffering with very low water pressure.
The reception was very friendly and helpful
I telephoned to say that we would be late arriving. Was told that the key would be left in the door. When we arrived at 2.30 am there was no key in the door and no night staff or porter to let us in our room. We had to wait in the car until 5.30 am until a member of staff arrived.
It was basic, but good value for the price of stay, lovely having door to our room out to the grass area, the breakfast and meals we had there was excellent, the staff were all lovely and very friendly
Only faults we found was the tv couldn’t get a strong enough signal to get channels and the shower wasn’t fast it just trickled out
Breakfast was good for the price, Room clean. Nice staff.
Mattress needed replacing so bed uncomfortable. Quilt needed replacing.
Good points: good shower with ample hot water; electric fan provided. Gave my breakfast to my friend as I didn't feel like eating & she seemed to enjoy it.
Dirty, dilapidated room; stained carpet & chair (also had broken arm); assortment of stains & marks on walls; mugs not washed properly & had rings from previous use; latch barely held front door closed, so rattled badly in the wind & felt like it would fly open during the night until I moved the chair against it; TV signal very poor so could literally watch for 3-4 minutes at a time before picture was lost - trying to watch England V Norway was so frustrating! Mattress was extremely old & springs creaked at the slightest touch. Cleaner's or previous occupant's footprints visible on bathroom floor.
The cooked breakfast was OK, but the overall choice very limited. For example, no fruit or yoghurt.
Room size quite small, Internet in rooms poor, rooms could be very 'noisy' at times, and subject to the consideration of neighbours! At best facilities were 'basic'. Staff however were friendly and good.
Breakfast was ok, too greasy for me think everything was deep fried
Bed very uncomfortable, though all.on ground floor, shower was hard to get into not just because of step but angle doors opened at meant no where to hold on and a bit of a squeeze for anyone not straight up and down. Dust behind bed was thick, thought heat was bringing on asthma but having moved my pillow in morning and seen the thick layer behind bed, think fan was probably circulating the dust. Bed was very uncomfortable could feel.the springs and easily could do with a topper. Room basic which would be fine but 2 tvs .. maybe remove one not in use. Mirror cracked and broken, no way to lock patio doors that we could find nothing on the sheet of paper with room info about it either. Lots of stains and marks on walls and carpet. Staff were pleasant enough but didn't really respond to anything when mentioned to them. Will see to it, but...if you spoke to one person the next one had no idea what you were talking about.
The staff were friendly and pleasant easy to talk too
Quiet rooms, clean and tidy
Room was for 2 of us then i called hotel as my daughter wanted to come, hotel said no problem come down on arrival pay the difference.
When arrive hotel says we know nothing
And no room in the inn.
Which clearly was spare rooms.
Apart from this its a really nice hotel.
Everything
Nothing
Shower was great
Location was good
The bed was quite uncomfortable—it dipped in the middle, so we kept rolling into each other whenever we tried to turn over. The food was just mediocre, and the room itself was very hot with no air-conditioning. The TV was so old that we had trouble watching it because the picture was completely pixelated with squares all over the screen. On top of that, the internet kept going on and off all the time. It was also quite noisy, as we could hear doors slamming outside. To finish it off, there were no lights in the corridors, so I couldn't even see where I was putting my key in the door! But honestly, despite all of these issues, I would actually still stay here again.
Easy check in, plenty free parking. Plenty cupboard space, Sliding door to garden. As our 3ngt. Stay from 25Jun to 28Jun26. And temperatures around 30c. The hotel provided fans.
A fridge would have been great. Shower mixer not good. TV a lot of Pixelating constantly bad reception. Although cooked breakfast was plentiful and tasty limited cereals, no fruit.
Decent sized room nice and quiet. Comfortable bed lovely shower
I asked for a fan but they weren’t sure they had some but I called them and they were happy for me to bring my own. Which I did made the room comfortable to sleep in .
Very disappointed at breakfast we arrived 30 mins before cut off serving time only to be told they had been very busy and had run out of most things the girl serving us ran in to the kitchen and asked chef what he had left so we were told they had bacon and could do a bacon bap which was fine we were only ones in the restaurant her attitude was more like they couldn’t be bothered to cook for us a hotel that runs of of everything on the breakfast menu is a bit questionable really
