This was place was off the beaten track and had an amazing view. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Heidi looked after us all so well.
Nothing.
We loved Everything, the landscape, the service, the view, the food, the accommodations, the place is amazing.
Nothing.
Location is slightly out of the way, but incredible - the views, gardens, sunrises and sunsets are pretty breathtaking.
Similarly the staff are kind, friendly and super polite and go out of their way to help you. Also very friendly community feel throughout the location.
If you’re into pets there are also some very friendly cats and dogs that live at the ecohotel too. A really lovely nature-led experience up in the mountains!
If we were being picky, some of very small things:
- the pool in the pictures & description is not on-site - it’s a public swimming pool that you have to pay to enter, and is a 40+ minute walk away
- privacy / soundproofing between the rooms is limited
Unique place, a little hard to reach but the views and sense of peace, surrounded by greenery, make it well worth getting there. We found a very warm welcome and helpfulness throughout. The buildings are unusual, beautiful and special.
Nature, silence, easy walking around to enjoy the surroundings, better if you wear trekking shoes or rubber boots. Good food. The Wi-Fi and phone signal were good.
The location and remoteness of this property were exactly what I was looking for. There is nothing to "do," which is what I wanted. The staff were exceptional in service and friendliness. The food was fantastic.
The property is absolutely beautiful. However, just be aware that there is no sound barrier between the room I was in and the one next door. You can hear a whisper from the room next door. I am not sure if there are shared walls in other rooms, however, so this may not be an issue elsewhere on the property. I wore ear plugs at night, and minimized my own noise to accommodate the close quarters.
The ecolodge was lovely; kind staff, the rooms big an spacious, comfortable bed, cute dog and cats, different breakfast every morning. Definitely do the full-day excursion to Melcocho river with Daniel organised through the lodge, that was a highlight.
The first day, we hiked up to the lodge from Cocorna for about an hour. The days after we took (cheap) rides up and down the hill (it's then a 10 minute walk to the lodge). We enjoy being active and the motorcycle-taxi's were exciting to take. The extra effort of the location is worth the views and lovely lodge. We wish we could have stayed longer!
We recommend having some more clearer information about hiking trails (also in english), that guests can do without a guide.
The location is sort of remote and difficult to get to but very well worth it once you get to it. The views are amazing and the grounds are simply beautiful. I think the overall experience would have been even better if i had stayed for at least a couple of nights.
Since our room had a shared balcony and the windows didn’t have curtains, the room i stayed in lacked some privacy.
