Beautiful place! Santiago is the best host
My staying at bob marley was lovely
A chilled hostel in a brilliant location right on the beach. It's in a beautiful location and the owner Santiago and his family were very welcoming and helped me in every way they could to make my time there as enjoyable as possible
Bed was comfortable. Clean linen and new towels.
Room had a fan.
Hammocks outside the room and on another floor.
Owners very friendly.
Included breakfast.
Very relaxed place.

The water didn't run for one day - this was accommodation based and not for the whole beach. It took 3 mentions for them to fix it.
The door didn't lock from the inside.
Mi estancia en el Bob Marley Hostel en Mendihuaca fue muy agradable. El lugar está rodeado de naturaleza, con un ambiente tranquilo y relajado, perfecto para desconectarse del ruido de la ciudad. Las instalaciones son sencillas pero cómodas y limpias, y las zonas comunes invitan a descansar y compartir con otros viajeros.
El personal es muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar, lo que hace que uno se sienta bienvenido desde el primer momento. Su ubicación es ideal: frente a la playa y junto al río, lo que permite disfrutar tanto del mar como de un entorno natural único. Sin duda, un lugar recomendable para quienes buscan paz, buena energía y contacto con la naturaleza.
Santiago is the best host for sure, we are so happy to met this guy ! and the location is like paradise. There's problems with electricity and water but for this low price it's ok...
Electricity stop sometimes for long time
Es un lugar genial para conectar con las personas y el mar, cuentan con clases de surf muy buenas. Hay muchos restaurantes justo al lado para conocer la comida del sector que es sensacional. Santiago el host fue de gran ayuda para cualquier solicitud además que te ayuda a organizar la agenda de actividades.

Beautiful spot, very rustic
Still being renovated, not much to not like
The location is perfect—right on the beach, where you can hear the waves and truly relax. It was exactly what I needed. The owner was incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for if you like the simple stay
Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but the low water pressure was inconvenient. The wooden structure and lack of ceiling between rooms made it a bit noisy, and my friend found it hard to sleep with the light and sounds from other rooms
We had an unforgettable time at the Bob Marley Hostel. The owner was extremely accommodating and read our every wish from our lips. The hostel also functions as a surf school, where we were taught to surf with a lot of patience and enthusiasm.
We will definitely make another stop there on our next trip to Colombia.

Location and hammocks on the terrace. Bed was comfortable
No water for washing or flushing for 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. Toilets stayed unflushed until I carried a bucket of seawater in to use

Staff while superficially friendly were unhelpful

The staff was not very friendly. And some rats ate our bread during the night

Little privacy as the walls don’t go up to the roof so all the rooms and toilets are connected. It is easy for bugs and animals to get in. During our stay we had a rodent in our room which we think lives under the bed. We saw the rodent one night in our room and the day after that we found poo on the shelves and on/under the bed. We decided to leave and talked to the employee, about getting a refund for the remaining night due to the circumstances (not the full stay). The employee refused as it was past 11am which is checkout which was a disappointing outcome considering the circumstances.
