Pleasurable stay in czechoslovakian Valtice castle grounds!
Pros:

The location of the Zámecký Hotel ANTON FLORIAN is exceptional: directly within the property of the Liechtenstein castle!
It is modernized, with all the facilities one needs. The staff was helpful, and overall friendly. The beds were very comfortable, the room clean, and the breakfeast buffet good and sufficient. Altogether a pleasurable stay!

Cons:

The hotel:
Modern, clean, comfortable, with a lovely terrace.

The shower could have had more pressure.

As for the breakfeast there was (Sunday): eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese and several breads, pudding, on Monday somewhat less. The buffet automat coffee for me as a coffee lover could use improvement: was rather on the weak side. (optional espresso is available at the bar). Altogether: good.

The castle:
The biggest disappointment was out of control of the hotel:
only czech speaking tours of the Valtice castle available!

The tour is over an hour long and listening to a language one doesn't understand: rather strenous.
No english, german or french. A print-out was available, however the czech tour guide visited the
second half of the rooms in another order, making it difficult to follow (as an interested tourist).

Suggestion to be passed on: Make earphones in several languages available!
The castle itself is rather impressive!


Valtice:
There is a lovely square just outside the Valtice castle grounds, with church, museum, and restaurants and coffee shops:
all well worth the visit!

Pobyt určitě doporučuji, sama se sem ráda vrátím.
Pros:

Lokalita nádherná, nabídka u snídaně také skvělá. Přístup personálu velmi vstřícný. Uvítali jsme toto období mimosezóny k prohlídce Valtic a blízkého okolí.

Cons:

Určitě dostupnost do hotelu od parkování, případně zajištění pomoci ze strany personálu. Dále nám chyběl odkládací stoleček v koupelně. Ta je dostatečně veliká, aby byla doplněna nějakým koupelnovým nábytkem. Bylo by skvělé propojit hosty s návštěvou zámku či Valtických vinných sklepů nějakým slevovým voucherem...
