I am a happy guest since a long time (8 years).
Friendly staff, homemade and the most delicious food in Luxor, perfect location (right behind Memnon, Habu temple 5 minutes walk).
An authentic experience, cozy, peaceful and recharging with a friendly price.
I dearly recommend this place who are looking for the real countryside Egypt experience.
The room this time was very dusty and the AC was not helping too much either, the air became very heavy, I was coughing by day 3.
The the rooms need more maintenance and some more frequent cleaning, included surfaces, so the dust can be kept under control.
I kinda signed up to it for a authentic feel, but this was way too basic. You'd expect some thing to be a certain way when you pay for it especially when most small hotels in Luxor are in this price range.
Noisy fan in a hot room isn't your ideal place to relax after a good day out in the run. Basic breakfast and same dinner menu daily. Make shift bathroom in a corner of a room, no doors open roof to room, where bath water does not drain.
The hostel's restaurant offered nice dining, with fresh, delicious meals and friendly staff. The duck dish tasted good.
Our bed room, though seemingly acceptable at first glance, quickly revealed its disappointing conditions. The space was not only old but also poorly maintained, with dust settled on much of the furniture. Upon attempting to sleep, we encountered a disturbing situation: the beds were infested with wriggling maggots, discovering five on the mattress alone, and even more on the floor. This alarming discovery resulted in a sleepless night filled with discomfort and unease. The hostel desperately needs to improve its cleanliness and pest control measures.
Very autentic, lovely place with many interesting to see. Perfect location for Medinet Habu, Deir el Medina and Memnon. Tasty food.
One of the best places to stay on the West Bank of Luxor!
Nothing... :)
The food is delicious, and freshly cooked. It is in a countryside setting, the rooms are quiet and we had a room with a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. The staff treat you like family and nothing is too much trouble. The taxi driver has his taxi at the hotel and the rates are reasonable.
Nothing
The owner of the hotel helped us out huge on the first day. Our guide service had a problem to where they were not able to pick us up from our location at the hotel. So the owner with out us asking took us to meet up with them and we tried to tip him for his kind jester and he refused. Very very nice people great food and will give you good conversation!
The hotel was pretty hard for guide services to find. Mabey could use a sign out front. But other than that I have zero complaints about this beautiful establishment
Location near best places in West Bank and host behaviour. Mohammed is the best guide in Luxor.
Everything else. Conditions for 1990.
As soon as we step into the room, we see that the bed is dirty. They cleaned it but because it's very old, the dirty fell from the ceiling all night. It's very hard to sleep when you feel uncomfortable and dirty. The bathroom is very bad, and a lot of insects in the apartment 😒 😑
I'm so glad we stayed only one night there. I hope they make reconstruction soon because they are very helpful for everything else.
Well if your plan is to stay several days on left side of the Nile in order to visit all available archeological sites, this is a perfect base! If you don't have Luxor Pass, you will need to buy all tickets separatly in a ticket office which is on the other side of the road. All locations are relaively close (except Valley of the Kings, but we manage to get there on foot anyway) and accesible by walk, but it's not a problem to call a taxi there (or a random car, for few EGP everyone will agree to give you a short ride). Staff is very nice, attentive and helpful and food is delicious (in addition to brekfast you can also order lunch/dinner here).
The food is tasty and the staff is so friendly. The location is quiet good and relaxing, and it's few meters from the Colossi of Memnon.
The room wasn't as expected, and the bed mattress wasn't comfortable. And you might see lizards.
amazing property, loved the location, outdoor dining, great meals, beautiful, setting, stones throw from Medinat Habu. With the wind blowing in the evening and dining outside, felt like a magical place away from the hecticNess of the east bank. highly recommend! all staff were so nice and helpful.
nothing
this property has a great location on the West Bank with a completely different vibe then the east bank. it appears to be a family run place to stay, restaurant, taxi service anything you need. The property is great with eating outside is located adjacent to Medinat Habu and off the road to valley of the kings. Location is amazing. love the outdoor dining meals were great and they made the best orange juice I’ve ever had.
nothing
I picked the hotel for its convenient location. I enjoyed it so much because of the owner and staff. Food was excellent and generous. Also the room and outside sitting areas were so peaceful. Room was traditional Egyptian. It is a small hotel but central to everything. I could see the colossus of memnon from my room.
I stayed at five hotels on this trip. This was the lowest price. This was my favorite. I was very happy here.
Can't think of a thing.
Farm and family atmosphere though very basic. Great location to West Bank attractions.
beautiful place with real Egyptian character. They treated me like family, I loved my stay & was sad to leave. If you’re looking for the real Egypt this is the place.
The location was perfect for going to the valley of the Kings and we enjoyed the vicinity of small farms and fields.
The food was good and our host organised the rental of bikes for us. He has been very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasant budget hotel.
At night we struggled with the mosquitoes and the barking dogs. Better to bring a mosquito repellent before arriving.
The staff and family who run the place are delightful. The outdoor dining area is very pretty and comfortable. The food is good! The location is terrific for West Bank sightseeing.
The beds and pillows are hard as rocks! Like many places we stayed in Egypt it is quite noisy at night
The family running the hotel are wonderful. Amazing location near Valley of Kings/Queens.
