Street entrance
Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Modern facilities, clean, functional. Well placed next to the main street leading into the town. Free parking available if you come with a car. Good choice for one night stay. Recommend, especially that the choice of hotels in town is a bit limited.
Seemed to be a bit overpriced as for Egypt. It was the most expensive night on our 18 days road tour of Egypt. Most likely the result of limited selection of places to stay in Abu Simbel.
Strange, I only saw this one offered after searching a little. Well, the rooms are really nice and big, with attached bathroom and plenty of space, good lights, and a writing desk. Clean, cosy and comfortable. Breakfast is served normally in the basement because the kitchen is there, but you can ask for it on the roof and they will bring.
They have good plans for expansion and want to open the cafe on the roof, which is nice and big and has a great view.
The people here will do everything for you if you need it, just be patient and explain with translator if you find it hard. All the staff are very kind.
I had a lovely 2 night stay and would stay here again
Nothing to dislike. Everyone is willing to please.
Hotel gets the job done: beds are okay, it is quiet, breakfast is OK (two boiled eggs, some cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, bread, Nescafe, halva, etc). They make breakfast when you say (eg. we said 7 AM and they made it at 7). Decent amount of furniture in the room. So it's fine to stay in it one night to visit temples in the evening with very few other tourists and see the magical sound and light show.
It is a very basic and old-looking hotel, price is more than it should be, though all hotels in Abu Simbel are overpriced. A few flies were in the room. No shower gel in the bathroom, though we didn't ask for it as stayed just one night. Curtain in shower can't close the floor 100% so water gets in the floor. Still, these are minor issues.
Even though the facilities were not giving justice to the price, The rooms were clean.
Wifi not available inside the room
Nice and convenient Hotel in Abu Simbel. Not in the Center, but close enough to everything, TukTuk to the Temple ist 50 Pound, Supermarket just around the corner. Staff is very friendly and among the most helpful of any I have met on my many travels! Nice food, too! Overall a very convenient spot, we enjoyed our stay very much - thanks a lot Abdelrahmin!
pleasant man in charge of premises, helpful temperament.
wardrobe door fell off, could have been hurt. wall bracket of curtain rod so weak it came off the wall. window curtain height shorter than window pane. shower curtain does not stop water from making entire bathroom floor wet. breakfast is served in a dingy room in basement.
We stayed at the Applicator Hotel for 1 night. The room was clean and functional. We appreciated especially how quickly we got a nice meal before going to the temples. Also times were kept on the minute for drives to the Temples (late afternoon and next morning), back to the hotel, too. For breakfast after the Temples and before driving to the Airport again. Everything right on the clock!
Breakfast was very simple. Mostly breads and cheeses and a bag of chips. They’ve got this really nice and largely unused rooftop, and yet they serve breakfast in this underground dungeon.
Hotel is in serious need of upgrades. Worn out rugs in rooms, TV didn’t work.
