Cleanliness and good location in Tunis village
1-No WiFi in the rooms
2-the room was very small
The hotel responded positively to my request for a better room and upgraded my booking to a more modern “Golden Room,” which I appreciated. The staff were consistently polite and welcoming, and their warm attitude made my stay more pleasant overall.
The upgraded room I received was unexpectedly small. I was offered the option to move to the original room, which was more spacious; however, it was outdated and poorly maintained, with two single beds and a very small television.
Additionally, the à la carte breakfast was disappointing. Only one drink was included—either tea or coffee—with no juice or fruit provided, and I was informed that even a bottle or glass of water would need to be purchased. This is not acceptable for a hotel of this standard.
Finally, the presence of mosquitos in the rooms was an issue. Given that this appears to be a known problem, it would be reasonable for the hotel to ensure regular mosquito control or room treatment.

This was such a breath of fresh air after a busy few days in Cairo. Total relaxation and peace in a beautiful hotel in a beautiful village. We were welcomed by the lovely staff at reception and ordered a delicious lunch which was the best of locally produced Egyptian authentic food. Delicious duck, beautifully grilled chicken, fabulous salads which were super fresh and home made bread You do wait for your food but this is because it is all made fresh and it is well worth it.
The grounds are pretty and the good sized pool tucked away around the corner as the ultimate place to relax and enjoy this oasis. Our room was a whole apartment, we had a kitchen, sitting area with balcony and two bedrooms with a bathroom, all air conditioned and built in a very tasteful and traditional and attractive style.
The local village is friendly and we enjoyed a quad bike tour, tilapia fishing in a local fish farm, birdwatching tours with a local expert and pottery lessons just along the street from the hotel. We loved it and each member of our family came away happy with different special memories of our lovely three day stay - initially we booked onw night but ended up staying for three.
This is a hidden gem! What an amazing experience from start to finish. This made my holiday. Idyllic setting, high quality service and the food was very good. Clean and comfy rooms would highly recommend. Well done Palm Shadow Resort, you know how to do it!

Very nice studio - the bed area, bathroom, kitchen, and terrace were all great, spacious and cozy at the same time. Mahmoud the host was very helpful with anything needed. This was a great place for a quiet getaway for a few days from the hustle of Cairo. Would love to come back!
The location was very good. My room was lovely. The bed was good but the pillow is very hard. Also the food was just okay. There is room for improvement here. Overall though it's a great place to stay. I have been many times to Tunis village and will definitely return to this hotel but probably wouldn't eat there

What i loved about palm shadows is that it feels like home , the staff are very hospitable and i really appreciate how friendly they are.the place is relaxing , the best landscape i have seen in fayoum. I'm definitely going to come back
The pillows were uncomfortable . breakfast is tasty but needs more variations .
