Quirkiness, staff were nice and helpful. Location.
The room was on the ground floor and very noisy, the floorboards creaked alot, and the bed creaked everytime we moved, it waa a very naaic room, full.of charcter but basic. And for a room that cost £225 there was no breakfast included, and £15 for a pastry and a cuppa tea is quite expensive. Also there was no mention of a £14 overnight carparking charge until checkout.
Location, the deli/lounge area and interesting rooms
I thought the pillows could be better (I found them too squidgy) and I didn’t make the most of the breakfast as I needed to be quick so £14 for a piece of toast and 2 cups of coffee was steep but necessary.

This is a snug hotel right down near the harbor and the location is unique. The bathroom was beautiful and the staff very friendly. Great for an urban (train only, no car) escape to try the legendary Pig hotel chain.
Some of the chairs in the entry room/dining room look cute but are actually quite inconvenient for dining/sitting comfortably.
Brilliant location for us. Breakfast was good, staff were friendly & polite. Our room was clean, comfortable and although we were facing the traffic, it was surprisingly quiet.
