A hotel that offers value for money.
Pros:

A beautiful building on the outside with plenty of parking and a quiet location.

Cons:

Dated inside. We could hear our neighbour in the next bathroom. Shower flow poor.
Had to look for staff in reception on arrival and leaving.
We have stayed in many hotels in the area due to visiting elderly parents and this one was the best value for money.

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay And the staff were just lovely Would certainly go back

Breakfast was great and varied The building is absolutely beautiful Very historic
The room was newly refurbished and had an additional electric heater as the weather had turned cold
so that was blessing
All in all a very pleasant stay and although it was for my husband to have a heart procedure at the hospital
it was all made much less stressful having this hotel to go back to Many thanks

Cons:

Nothing other than perhaps if they did lunch and dinner But there are plenty of places nearby so no problem

Had we had a warm weekend with heating on it would have been a 9.1
Pros:

Beautiful setting best in the area . Stay in this area weekly

Cons:

Room freezing. 🥶. On arrival no heating turned on. Oil filled heater in the room
Went to reception and got the heating turned on and another portable heater ( that didn’t) work. When heating had kicked in it was better but cold 🥶 room . Pool out of use too

Valentines disaster
Pros:

The grounds the hotel were in were lovely, very scenic, breakfast was good and the rooms was ok, staff were attentive too.

Cons:

When we arrived to check in we noticed the hotel was is being used as a HMO/boarding for imigrants who were using the conference room to get together, cook their own meals, and wander around the hotel in their PJ's. Yet we book a night away for Valentines and are charged full whack for your stay when the hotel in not being used for it's purpose. We left feeling very disappointed as if we had know this we'd have obviously looked at booking somewhere different. Maybe we shouldn't have stayed and requested our money back but after travelling all day what are you expected to when your tired and just want to rest.

Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish
Pros:

The Welsh breakfast was very tasty and plentiful, the location is amazing and the building is staved in history, we will be returning.

Cons:

The weather . The wine was a bit more than we would usually pay, but it was a treat and very good quality.

Breakfast great.

Cons:

Bed was a double but seemed quite small.
For the rate we paid I would have expected a bigger bed.
So didn’t sleep most of the night. Everything else was lovely.

Excellent family stay!
Pros:

The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming right through the booking process and during our stay. The facilities were perfect for our large family group celebrating Christmas.
We stayed in Barn 3 which was spacious, clean and warm with everything we needed. Thankyou so much. We’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful building, Stay was comfortable & staff friendly.

Cons:

Breakfast was ok but not great. Coffee wasn’t good & continental a bit sparse.
Room booked was changed, booked a room in hotel but was changed to a cottage without asking.
