Great calm place to stay but with easy access to all the temples and sights around Luxor. Highly recommended.
Pros:

Great location away from the hustle and bustle of the east bank.
Boat runs all day and evening so easy access to restaurants etc
Easy to organise trips through a very efficient reception desk. Don’t miss the hot air balloon ride at sunrise.
Lovely pool with views across the Nile
All the staff were amazing and very hospitable.
We travelled from the hotel to El Gouna , arranged by the hotel, with our driver Adman who was great. Very good , safe driving and great local knowledge in English.

A peaceful characterful place to stay within easy reach of the sights on both banks.
Pros:

Fab location and a beautiful building still under construction in part. Amazing craftsmanship. Loved the pool and the rooms. All very tastefully furnished. Hoopoes on the lawn and lots of other bird life. Free boat provided to cross the Nile to the hustle of the east bank. The owner organised a balloon trip for us which was a definite highlight of our stay.

Cons:

I’m afraid the mattress was very hard in our room. Slightly felt like you had to pass a test with the English host which I think we did. She’s a character. Also the hotel is unlicensed but you can bring in your own.

Pros:

Cet endroit est d’un rare raffinement, d’une exceptionnelle authenticité. Il conjugue le bon goût , le calme, le charme ( arrivée en barque ). La chambre que j’ai occupée disposait d’un petit salon intérieur et d’une petite terrasse extérieure. Il y régnait une atmosphère feutrée, enveloppante , avec une vue dégagée sur le Nil . On quitte cet hôtel avec regret tant on s’y sent bien , sans parler de la qualité du service . J’aurais souhaité y séjourner plus longtemps mais il était complet, je n’ai pu trouver l’équivalent surtout pas au Hilton !

Je n’ai rien à déplorer !

Very dark rooms despite attractive design

On the positive side, the hotel is located in a pleasant compound, away from the hassle and bustle of the city centre.

Cons:

The rooms at the Djorff Palace Hotel are somewhat attractive, but unfortunately very dark. It’s not possible to read a book in bed due to the poor lighting, and the windows do not provide enough natural light to compensate. The bed is also quite squeaky.

Unique Stay in a Design Hotel
Pros:

The good:

-Design is unique, I expected such oriental design while staying in Luxor
-Staff is genuine, they arranged everything smoothly with regular prices
-Breakfast is Okay (could be nice with more fresh products)
-Boat service works well (otherwise the hotel is far away to walk around)

Cons:

Requires Improvement:
- Beds are super hard, if you are not used to it, its a big problem
- Bottle Water should be included in room service (not sold)
- Coffee / kettle could be nice in the room
- Road to boat is not nice, doesn't get along with hotel design!

We had a great stay at Djorff Palace, the architecture is stunning and the location on the West Bank of the Nile is so peaceful in contrast to Egyptian cities. The owner and staff were very welcoming and helped us have a memorable stay.

El edificio es muy bonito

Cons:

No conectan el agua hasta determinadas horas, nunca pusieron facilidades para llevar desayuno temprano, cosas muy habitual en Egipto dado el horario de las excursiones. La dueña, una extranjera, muy poco simpática. El hotel está en medio de la nada, muy bonito estar junto al Nilo pero lejos de cualquier cosa. No recomiendo en absoluto este alojamiento y además tenemos pendiente una reclamación porque nos cobraron más de lo indicado en la reserva de Booking. De la camas, más duras que he visto en mi vida mejor ni hablar, y el tamaño minúsculo.

A real Palace on westbank of the Nile, beautifull sunny green garden and pool. Lovely room. Romantic. Friendly staff. I suggest to skip your 5star-Nilecruise, stay here 5-7 nights, visit the temples, kings valley, Sail, bike, Balloon and your Egypt visit is perfect.
