I have wonderful memories of Cairo that I will never forget
Pros:

If you love Downtown Cairo, you’ll love the Carlton. And the breakfast and roof top bar were great

Cons:

Well, if you’re downtown, traffic noise and the sound of the city are unavoidable

Great value with excellent service
Pros:

I had a very pleasant stay. The location is perfect, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I especially loved the rooftop restaurant and the breakfast spread—both were highlights! While the hotel and facilities are a bit dated and the rooms are on the smaller side, everything was kept very clean. The shower was excellent with great water pressure and easy temperature control. Overall, fantastic value for money.

Hotel is a bit dated and the room is small.

Experiență foarte bună
Pros:

Hotelul este curat și personalul foarte amabil. Chiar dacă am avut probleme cu televizorul in prima zi totul s-ar rezolvat cu ajutorul lui Ramon administratorul hotelului.
Micul dejun nu este bufet suedez . Exista doua tipuri de mic dejun, unul continental și unul egiptean . Le-am incercat pe amândouă și sunt bune. Se poate lua desigur altceva la micul dejun, dejun sau cină de la terasa hotelului care se găsește la etajul 8. Terasa este frumoasă iar muzica ambientală de asemenea.
Ne-a plăcut șederea la acest hotel atât mie cât și restului membrilor familiei mele . Cu siguranță când ne vor reîntoarce în Cairo, ne vom caza la Carlton .

A wonderful early twentieth century hotel in a great location. Great staff. Outstanding value
Pros:

This is quite simply the best hotel I know in Cairo. It feels as though one has stepped back eighty years - and is beautifully but very comfortably restored. It's in a great location , just by two metro stations and in the middle of downtown. Staff are great, and there is the added value of a rooftop restaurant and bar.

A nice old hotel in the center of Cairo .it has a spectacular roof area
Cons:

A few repairs on a few creaky floor boards would have been nice ,and the lifts being old were certainly not child friendly ,but very quaint .It has a very nice roof area

Charme désuet d'un grand hôtel d'autrefois.
Pros:

Chambre et salles de bain confortables, bonne literie, jolie décoration, service impeccable, bon restaurant et belle vue du roof garden. Des anciennes photos dans la chambre et dans le couloirs.
De l'ancien hôtel il reste l'entrée au rez-de-chaussée, 2 étages de chambres ( 6e et 7e étage) et bar/restaurant au 8e étage, tout coupé du reste de l'immeuble. L'ascenseur monte directement au 6e étage.
Endroit insolite, temoin d'une autre époque, un peu délabré comme tout le quartier, très animé par ailleurs.

Great staff and location, but the hotel is extremely outdated, musty, and noisy, needs renovation
Pros:

- The staff were friendly, helpful, and collaborative throughout my stay. I have no comments or complaints regarding their service.
- The black‑and‑white photographs showing old Cairo and Egyptian culture were a nice and thoughtful addition.
- The hotel is centrally located, which makes it convenient for moving around the city.

Cons:

- The furniture across the hotel is very old and worn. Carpets in the corridors and common areas are dirty and clearly not well maintained.

-The door to my room was almost broken, with visible scratches and cracks.

- The balcony door did not close properly, which meant constant noise from the street, including loud music from nearby shops even until midnight.

- There was noticeable moisture and a musty, damp smell in the corridors, which made the environment uncomfortable.

- The elevator is extremely old and dirty, and it clearly needs renovation. just like the rest of the hotel.

- The entire hotel feels dark, outdated, and poorly maintained. With proper renovation, it could actually become a stylish and charming place, but in its current state, it feels run‑down.

posizione. atmosfera dell'hotel. servizio colazione/ristorante in terrazza.

Cons:

raggiungibile solo con ascensore (camera posizionata al sesto). l'uscita di emergenza verso le scale (?) non era disponibile perchè CHIUSA A CHIAVE. ho fatto presente ciò, ma nulla è cambiato. ritengo questa una cosa pericolosa in caso di necessità di evacuazione. unico motivo per cui non ritornei....
