ruime kamer, goed ontbijt ,ligt aan een drukke weg maar daar hadden we weinig last van
The room was very good for the price , but the view of all the rubbish out of the window around the back wasn’t good
It needed a good clean in certain areas , our room had cobwebs hanging from the roof it only needs a feather dusting

With windows open, traffic noise with speeding motorbikes was loud but closing windows helped.
A comfortable stay, far more reasonable prices compared to Whitby.
Peaceful location
The room hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was a bag of chicken and beef crisps in the sanitary bin in the bathroom leaving a foul smell in the room.

Check in was easy, room was spacious with everything you need and everything was nice and clean. Shower was perfect. Location is good very popular with walkers. Lovely seating area surrounding the hotel and also a little grassed area with a play park for the kids. Food is gorgeous espeacially the carvery on a Sunday. The manager is realy nice goes above and beyond to help guests, on leaving I struggled ringing a taxi due to no signal so gave me and my partner a lift which was so kind of him he's such a lovely man. A great hotel in a realy nice location, had a realy nice stay, will recommend and already looking at dates to stay again!
No fault to the hotel but no phone signal at all but does have wifi. Everything lovely and clean but furniture and fittings very old fashioned and abit dated but it doesnt affect anything your stay so who cares. Walls are abit thin could hear the room next door creaky floor boards, and the shower from that room made a loud noise. The girl who checked us in could of cracked a smile or two

Room was a bit tired. Needs some work doing on fittings and fixings.
Staff they were pleasant on arrival, however my concern on check-in was a total lack of data protection. A small pile of print outs sat clearly on the counter with guests' personal details that could clearly be read by anyone who stood there. The building is old and the rooms are very dated, bed linen was clean but torn. I'd paid an additional rate for what I thought was a 'nicer' double room, I'll just say the photos are kind. On the plus side it is was very quiet [Friday night] so it was a decent night's sleep. There was a small fridge in the room which was a bonus. The last downside was a lack of accessible plug points, but overall it sufficed as a bed for the night. Overall, despite it being dated, we had a pleasant stay and a good night's sleep. Also, it's a pretty location and well situated for Saltburn, Whitby etc.

Breakfast resulted resulted in my partner having a stomach upset,we believe caused by out of date eggs.We had also had stale bread for toast.unacceptable....I think the place is struggling fibancially.
