Clean & comfortable
I can not climb stairs due to a disability so was put in a room on the front of the building with traffic passing 10 feet away from the building at 70miles an hour on the busy A171 very noisy
I thought it was a lovely place to stay, I wasn't expecting it to be on a main road it looked more rural in the photos. Having a room on the front there is traffic noise. That said my room was lovely and cosy, I slept really well. having the free WiFi was really useful as I was able to do some work. I ate in the restaurant for dinner and the food was fantastic and the staff were really lovely and considerate of my fish allergy. I was surprised at the choices available for breakfast and again the staff were really friendly. I would stay there again.
The only downside for me was that there was traffic noise being on the duel carriageway, also being on the front of the property this is quite noticeable. It wasn't a deal breaker and wouldn't stop me from staying again.
Nothing
We had to find alternative accommodation due to the room smelling of cigarettes and other smells, The staff agreed it was not acceptable, waiting gir my refund
Breakfast choice excellent bed very comfortable
More than one pillow each
A couple of fittings were broken in the bathroom. A night light in the bathroom would be useful. The main bathroom light is very bright and wakes other room occupant up if used in the middle of the night.
The room, bar reception
Breakfast was awful! Sent it back twice as it was cold, items missing, some overcooked
Good rooms and restaurant. Staff were helpful.
It can only be approached by a busy dual carriageway which was not good for me as a cyclist
Not far from the rose berry topping walk
Rooms right next to the road so it’s loud on a night
Food in the pub is average at best
Good location with beautiful views, friendly staff with ample parking.
