A very charming place to have a break from life
Pros:

The staff at The Grove are wonderful, it has just the right mix of charm, elegance and helpful service without tipping over into obsequiousness. Everyone seemed interested in making sure your stay was memorable. I had a puncture on my car when I arrived and was squaring up to change the tyre when a member of staff stopped and insisted on sorting things out. I had a new tyre on the car within an hour. Perfect, on with the holiday break. We stayed in a cottage looking on to the garden. It was lovely. All in all an exceptional restful pre-Christmas break!

Relaxing with a cocktail in one of it's many rooms was perfect as wandering around the beautiful grounds. The breakfast and dinners were delightful, too.

Cons:

The door from our cottage into the garden couldn't be opened. I am sure there would have been a solution but we didn't find it. Perhaps leave some instructions for this.

Thoroughly enjoyable - a pity that circumstances dictated it was so brief
Pros:

Delightful breakfast - a shame we had to rush through it due to having an urgent appointment

Cons:

A lift to the first floor would have been a boon but we realise such would be difficult at the premises.

Over priced and very disappointing.
Pros:

Staff very friendly and helpful

Cons:

The charge for three nights £1800 was excessive in the extreme. The following weekend same rooms are offered at £900.
Breakfast in addition at £30 per head. Excessive even by London standards. £30 for half bottle of very ordinary wine i.e. £60.00 per bottle and that was the cheapest. - excessive by any standards.
No facilities (Spa / pool) but we knew that before we purchased.
Not possible to speak to anyone on the telephone. Answerphone every time we tried with promise to call back but failed to.
For the sum of money we paid we expected the very best quality hotel, service and facilities but were sadly disappointed. Only saving grace were the very pleasant well presented staff.

Seriously relaxing and luxurious stay in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside
Pros:

The hotel and grounds are just beautiful. Particularly loved the styling and comfort of our room & the complimentary drinks in the mini bar, the fresh flowers from the walled garden throughout the hotel and the really delicious modern bistro style food served in the Artisan Rooms. Service from the whole team across the hotel was excellent.

Cons:

Nothing!
