Pleasant hotel
Pros:

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at El Greco . Hotel is everything you could need , great location , just outside the town of Fira but close enough to walk.

Rooms are clean and spacious , with a fridge and coffee making facilities.

Pool areas are all lovely, plenty of sunbeds and clean beach towels available as and when you need them.

Breakfast offered a good variety of choice , the restaurant does get busy but on second day we discovered a second restaurant near one of the other pools which was a far nicer and hardly anyone in it .

Overall the stay was comfortable, would recommend to others.

Overpriced for a poor hotel.
Cons:

View across road spoilt by part demolished building. Room is tired and the kitchenette was a waste of space.Looks like nothing has changed in the room since the 1970’s.
No milk provided and bottled water rationed to a 0.5 litre per day. . The buffet breakfast was basic and the served out food under warming lights Cold and inedible.
Overall glad we only stayed for 2 days. Never again..

Nous avons eu la chance d être surclassées dès notre arrivée car l hôtel n était pas plein
Cet établissement est exceptionnel: situation géographique au top, 6 grandes piscines, propreté impeccable, super buffet au petit déjeuner et au dîner. Le personnel est adorable et au petit soin: un grand merci à Irene, Ana-Maria, Michalis , Théodore et aux autres dont je ne connais pas le prénom pour leur accueil et leur bienveillance

Superb Santorini! El Greco nailed it!
Pros:

We have just returned from the el Greco and what an amazing time we had. We were recommended following a friends visit and it did not disappoint. The location was spot on. We arrived at lunchtime and although our room wasn’t quite ready the staff were more than helpful in storing luggage letting us change to use the pool and explained where we could get lunch and drinks. Once we got to our room we loved it, spotless clean, perfect location and smelt incredible. This is how it remained through our stay. All staff across the site were outstanding. The breakfast was warm, plentiful and tasty with the most juicy fresh oranges and the coffee was good too. The bar staff at the pool bar always had a laugh and the food was super tasty too as we had lunch here a couple of times and very reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for a fab stay ;-)

Wonderful Hotel!

This was the second visit to El Greco. We loved our stay last year and loved our stay this year even more. Especially as the the reception staff upgraded our rooms due to our second visit. Thank you Theodosia!

We are a group of 5 girlfriends taking our annual trip. The hotel staff are so helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and cleaned daily. The pools are lovely with lots of sunbeds.

Breakfsst is yummy with lots of choice and lovely staff. The hotel location is ideal as 5 mins to the bars and restaurants of Fira.

We almost don't want others to know about this gem of a hotel but they do deserve the praise! We are already planning a return trip next year with our families.

Comfortable stay, and great location.
Pros:

Location was great. Only 500 metre walk to Main Street of Fira. Pool was lovely. Buffet breakfast was great.

Cons:

Enquired at reception about no tissues in the room and was told to use toilet paper. Asked at pool bar for a couple of wine glasses for our room and was told I couldn’t have any. Instead given small plastic cups. Not the service expected for a resort of that standard and the cost to stay there.

Professionalism
Pros:

Excellent hotel with outstanding service and a highly professional staff. The location is idyllic, just a five-minute walk from Fira, where you can enjoy breathtaking sea views and admire the sunset along the promenade.

Clean, spacious hotel
Pros:

Our second stay at El Greco was, in the main, very nice.

The communal areas are spacious and kept very clean. There was always a sunbed available by the pool. My only slight downside was a group of "Brits Abroad" who were screaming and shouting in and around the middle level pool most afternoons. It made us not want to sit either there or on our balcony. Perhaps the pool attendant could have asked them to be a little more considerate of fellow guests.

The breakfast area was very very busy. A couple of mornings we went away for half an hour and came back later. The choice was great though. Lovely fresh fruit, pastries, cooked items, cold meats, cheeses and salad.

The room was very nice. Again, kept very clean. The bathroom was lovely with a gorgeous powerful walk-in shower. Included safe and air con which is most appreciated.

The hotel is an easy 10 min walk into Fira centre and the bus station with a well stocked supermarket on the way.

I would stay again.
