Great location
Pros:

Wow what a location, amazing views and great staff.

Cons:

Well you don’t get those views without some stairs. I am 67 and found walking up to the Main Street a little hard but not prohibitively bad.

Run for the hill on this "honeymoon destination". 2-star hotel at best

The view and the breakfast were the only acceptable amenities about this "5 star" hotel.

Cons:

We booked Athina for our dream honeymoon, let’s just say nightmares are dreams too. For a hotel claiming to be “5-star luxury,” the experience was incredibly disappointing. Our room had cracked/peeling walls, almost no storage, a shower that flooded the bathroom, little privacy, and we even found items left behind by previous guests. Dirty breakfast dishes were left outside our room for over 24 hours and attracted bugs, including cockroaches.

Most concerning, my husband became trapped against a hot-tub suction/return vent for approximately 45–60 seconds and sustained significant bruising. I had to physically help pry him off. We reported it immediately and were told management and maintenance would follow up. Despite the seriousness of the incident, no one from management checked on him for the remainder of our stay.

When management finally responded after we reached out ourselves, rather than showing genuine concern, we felt dismissed and essentially gaslit about what had happened, despite reporting the incident immediately and having visible injuries. The response seemed more focused on minimizing the situation than addressing the fact that a guest had been injured.

At roughly $700/night, this was nowhere near a 5-star experience. The safety issue, lack of follow-up, and management’s dismissive response afterward were unacceptable. We would not recommend staying here.

Clean, tidy, amazing views and very close to town.
Pros:

The room had an amazing view, was spacious and comfortable with good A/C. The view was spectacular and pool just a few steps away. The breakfast was excellent and brought to the room to be eaten on the balcony at my selected time. Staff were excellent.

Die Lage mit dem Blick auf die Caldera, fantastisch schön. Frühstück und Essen waren ausserordentlich, auch die Ausstattung der Zimmer, Beleuchtung, Design, der Pool, die Balkone, die Sauberkeit, Service alles top.

Cons:

Nur im April kann es zwischendurch kühl und nass sein, dafür wäre ein geschlossener Frühstücksraum ideal. sehr freundliches Personal. Die Musik dürfte abwechslungsreicher sein. Und beim Duschen wird leider das Bad schnell nass. Aber das sind Details, die unseren Aufenthalt nicht getrübt haben.

Beautiful hotel and great location.
Pros:

Hotel is beautiful with stunning views. Delicious breakfasts served right on our terrace every morning. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is also fantastic; delicious food, great service and the most amazing sunset views.
