Lovely oasis of peace and quiet below Afytos. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a mix up over our request for a room on the upper floors but management resolved very quickly moving us to a more private (and better) room. Plenty of loungers above and on the beach (although you needed to be up early to get the 5/6 prime ones!). Excellent buffet breakfast regularly refreshed. Hotel is at the end of the public beach so effectively has its own secluded area with beautiful sea to swim in. Town of Afytos a short walk away up the hill. Top half up is relatively easy steps. Two options for lower half, one mostly a paved slope (steep in a few places) the other steps. Neither a problem (for the reasonably mobile). Lots of great in Afytos. Highly recommend

Beautiful small hotel in a lovely location and the village is so pretty

The view from our roon was stunning. The pool is cleaned every single day. The breakfast is great and fresh. The location is a short walk away from the village centre but far away enough that the noise from the village won't bother you. Would recommend.
Right on the beach. Very quiet in contrast to the very busy village. Beautiful and spacious room with sea views. Nice swimming pool and landscaped gardens.
It would have been nice if they didn’t let guests put their beach towels on the beach lounges in the morning before breakfast and just leave it there. That was a bit annoying
Die Lage ist wunderschön mit Sicht auf das Meer. Die Anlage ist schön gepflegt. Auch der Strand & Pool mit den Liegen ist sehr gemütlich. Unser Zimmer mit Meerblick &Terrasse hat uns sehr gut gefallen, Zimmerreinigung war jeden Tag super. Es ist nahe zu Afytos mit vielen guten Restaurants.(trotzdem Auto mieten damit man hochfahren kann, ist anstrengend alles zu laufen) Frühstück war klein aber Hochwertig was uns gefallen hat, alles war schön angerichtet & lecker, auch sehr gutes Brot. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen.
Der Manager im Büro wirkte auf uns unfreundlich, unsympathisch und wenig professionell. Zudem untersagte er uns, bestelltes Essen mit aufs Zimmer zu nehmen, was wir angesichts der schönen Terrasse sehr schade fanden. Auch im Umgang mit anderen Gästen fiel er durch eine grimmige Art und Diskussionen auf. Für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel ist ein solches Auftreten aus unserer Sicht nicht angemessen und trübt die ansonsten positive Atmosphäre. Schade wo sind die Vorgesetzten?
Verbesserung Service: Willkommensdrink wäre nett & etwas mehr Freundlichkeit am Empfang beim Check-in. Und auch als unsere Klima ausgefallen war wollte sich keiner kümmern. (Der würde erst morgen arbeiten, nachdem wir den ganzen Nachmittag gewartet haben ohne Rückmeldung)
Positiver Service:
Besonders hervorheben möchte ich jedoch den älteren Herrn, der auch Deutsch spricht, sowie den Herrn, der die Nachtschicht übernimmt. Beide sind außerordentlich freundlich, herzlich und äußerst professionell. (Dies kennt man als Gast aus anderen 5-Sterne-Hotels)
Einstieg ins Meer braucht man Badeschuhe, es hat Steine& links auch Seeigel. Schwimmt man raus ist das Wasser aber sehr schön klar & blau.
Frühstück: Der gute Kaffe kostet extra 3.50€ könnte günstiger sein.
Liegenbesetzung: Es werden von Gästen Liegen zb für 3h blockiert obwohl nicht benutzt, da sollte das Personal deren Tücher entfernen.

The pool
The staff barely speaks English, the pool was not available before 11 AM and the cutoff was 7 PM. The breakfast buffet is not diverse.
Any communication attempt is very difficult. The bathrooms could use some remodeling: there is a constant unpleasant smell and the faucets need replacing or more through cleaning
