Our stay at Cedar Inn was fantastic! A special mention of Mr. Sanjay Nangia is a must as his hospitality made us feel like we were at the comforts of home at Cedar Inn. His leadership is commendable. He takes special care of his guests with utmost interest and assists in every possible way so that experience is filled with delight and ease. He is always one step ahead in fulfilling the needs of his guests within his best limits. Sanjay connects with each and every individual irrespective of their age. All the staffs in this hotel are very well trained, they are courteous, ready to listen and sometimes even proactive in assisting. The whole team made us feel very special. The food served at the hotel is very palatable. The sumptuous breakfast buffet spread helps you start the day with a big smile 😊.

That hotel is so antique and well maintained and the supporting team of hotel is quite helpful and professional. The hotel gives you the best view of Darjeeling.

A gem of a hotel in Darjeeling. Great views. Away from the madding crowd of Darjeeling mall area yet only a 10 mins car ride away. Very attentive and caring staff and a totally hands on General Manager Mr Nangia who is always there to help. Breakfast and dinner service was also great. We stayed in the Observatory Suite with stunning 270° views including Kanchenjunga

The stay was awesome. Rooms are very well arranged for the guests. Food is amazing. There is peace everywhere. Cleanliness is well managed. Value was worth it. Location is very calm and beautiful. Staff behaviour is very nice and calm. A 5/5 rating.

Spacious, well-equipped and well-lit rooms with a view of the Kachendzonga.
Amiable staff, quick help when needed, and peaceful ambience.
Although tucked away atop the hill, a bit way from the cacophony of the town (and the Mall Road), taxi services are available to and from the location.

Our stay at Cedar Inn from Dec 20–23 was nothing short of extraordinary. Perched at the highest point of Darjeeling, this property offers what I believe is the most stunning, unobstructed view of the Kangchenjunga range you can find.
​We stayed in the Observatory Suite, and "mind-blowing" is an understatement. Waking up to those breathtaking mountain vistas directly from our room was a spiritual experience.
​Beyond the views, it was the warmth of the people that made our trip so special. A huge thank you to the General Manager, Mr. Sanjay, and his entire team for their impeccable hospitality. A special mention to Mr. Tenzing, whose graciousness and personal touch added a layer of magic to our stay. If you are looking for luxury with a soul in Darjeeling, this is it.

We stayed at the Cedar Inn for 2 nights on December 24 and 25, 2025. The hotel is located in the Jalapahar region in Darjeeling, away from the crowded and noisy downtown area of Darjeeling. We absolutely fell in love with the hotel. The location is very nice and quite. The room we had, offered an excellent view of the mighty Kanchenjunga. December, apparently, is not one of the best months for viewing the Kanchenjunga since it is foggy and cloudy on most of the days. However, we were very fortunate to get to see Mount K. Our room was warm, cozy and very comfortable. The general manager Mr. Nangia, was very welcoming and exceeding attentive to all our needs. His hospitality has clearly trickled onto his staff - they were very friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection of both Indian and Continental selections. The food was ... yummy. I am all praise for this hotel.

We enjoyed a perfect stay here. The views, the atmosphere and the premises are really awesome. The restaurant offers a wonderful buffet with many and delicious choices, both local and international. The staff are really kind and helpful. A special mention to Mr. Saurav for his caring, kindness and professionality. All in all, a really nice nd recommendable experience!

I take this opportunity to thank the gm Mr.Sanjay.Nangia who was so hospitable and helped make my stay so comfortable. He is very knowledgeable, always around to help with everything,so kind and a person hands on in every department of the hotels working.
I took the plan with breakfast and dinner and the restaurant manager captain and all the staff,pulled out all stops in service,taste and giving me the best culinary experience.
The massage u had at the spa also was wonderful.

The housekeeping staff is so kind and the rooms are clean and spotless.
They have a heater in the room and also a lovely fireplace which they light on request I believe. I didn't try that though, so I will visit soon again.
Here let me add the MD is always around the Cedar Inn and performs some good energy prayers everyday.
They light the Tsang by adding wood,ghee n some flowers 💐 and it not only has a good aroma but it keeps the energy positive at the Cedar Inn and wards off negative energy.
The view was..breathtaking..mind boggling..a clear n beautiful view of the Kanchanjunga peak and the Gimalayan range was simply awesome.
Great place to meditate.
Laze in bed and view the beautiful mountain range.

Location wise also its v good..n they have a shuttle from morning till evening 6pm to take you back n forth from the mall road..shopping n restaurant area.
