Pros:

Quiet, beautifully decorated. Staff friendly.
I would like to mention Ms May at the counter when we check in. I asked some questions on Onsen to visit and I told her I will go back to her when we decided. She was pro active to come back to us and help us to call and booked b4 she off duty. The private onsen need booking.It will be difficult cause we can't speak Japanese. We had a great time

Pros:

The lady who checked us in was very helpful and spoke excellent English (not that I expect that of course!) She made a reservation for us for a private onsen which was lovely. The breakfast was nice also. The room was spacious and clean.

Cons:

The only downside I can see is the lack of a lift for luggage. This wasn’t a problem for us as we managed to lift the cases fine but it’s something to note if you are less able, requesting a bottom floor room would be beneficial.

Beppu's value for money stay
Pros:

The hotel situates slightly off the Beppu city center, but it's not really a big deal for us since we're driving most of the time. It offers an onsite carpark for free, which is basically quintessential. For us, it's only a few minutes drive from the hotel to city center if you look for supermarkets, convenient stores and restaurants and whatnot. The room is spacious with a balcony, and has the necessary amenities that you'd expect.

The breakfast is light and simple - serving sandwiches premade and placed them in your fridge the night before. It's tasty and to us it's not bad at all.

I'd say it's the cheaper option that we've researched and discovered and it's at least offering better value for money compared to others.
