Pros:

Die gute Lage oberhalb des Kandy Sees, die freundlichen Mitarbeiter, das leckere Essen.

Cons:

Die Bäder könnten eine Renovierung vertragen, vor allem in einem unserer Zimmer hat es dauerhaft sehr modrig gerochen (was vermutlich aus dem Bad kam, in dem deutlich Schimmel sichtbar war).

Did not see a better place to stay in Kandy
Pros:

Fantastic location, 5 mins walk from city centre but an oasis of calm. View from balcony straight across the lake to the Temple. Excellent food in the evening and breakfast.

Lovely staff and great views but tough climb from the street to the hotel
Pros:

Rooms were very clean and staff were friendly and helpful

Cons:

The climb to the hotel is difficult and should be mentioned in all booking sites. We would have stayed elsewhere if we knew how long and steep the driveway was.
Also our bathroom was on a lower level than our bedroom. This is very unusual and inconvenient for anyone needing to use it during the night.

Overnachting Kandy
Pros:

De ligging te op zichte van het centrum en het meer, het uitzicht vanuit het balkon, erg goed ontbijt. De bedden zijn goed en de kamer netjes, alleen de badkamer zit beneden, daar moet je de trap voor af. Personeel is erg vriendelijk. We waren hier 1 nacht, dat was prima, ze hebben een driver geregeld voor ons naar de trein in new oya te brengen.

Cons:

De wc bril zat los, als je erop ging zitten viel je bijna met bril en al eraf (dit was wel vervelend), het weggetje er naartoe is heel stijl, tussen 2 hotels door, dus als je het centrum in wilt lopen moet je daarlangs naar boven en beneden.

Aangenaam verblijf direct een meer van Kandy
Pros:

Locatie, direct aan het meer van Kandy dus dichtbij Temple of the Tooth, markt en restaurants. Kamers zijn groot en van alle gemakken voorzien

Cons:

Het is voor Sri Lankaanse begrippen aan de prijs en mist de familiaire sfeer die we elders wel aantroffen, het is vooral obligate hoffelijkheid

Mooi hotel met super uitzicht.
Pros:

Heerlijke accommodatie met een geweldig uitzicht over Kandy Lake en de Tempel.

Fijn balkon. Kamer schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien.

Restaurant is erg goed en betaalbaar.

Zeer vriendelijke mensen.

Cons:

Ja, de weg naar de accommodatie is erg stijl. En je moet wat trappen nemen. Is dus niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn.
Al zijn ze wel bereid om je te halen en brengen met hun tuk tuk.
