Kind and very helpful staff. Comfortable , clean room. Great food.
The pool.
We had a pleasant stay here. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made our experience even better. We especially enjoyed the breakfast—it was delicious and a great way to start the day.
A special thanks to Mr. Tayyib, who was incredibly helpful during our time in Luxor. He assisted us in organizing our local tours and arranged transportation at a very reasonable rate. He’s a straightforward and trustworthy gentleman, and we really appreciated his support.
While the place isn’t luxurious, it’s definitely priceworthy. It’s a great choice for families and young travelers looking for a budget-friendly stay with a calm, peaceful atmosphere.
Located close to west bank
Water leckage in bathroom..
Room provided in 4th floor, no helping hand to bring luggage down
Room is very cold
Excellent roof terrace and a very helpful and friendly hotel owner/manager.
The West bank has less in the way of restaurants and bars than the East bank.
The Gold Ibis Hotel offers an exceptional stay with its spacious rooms that provide plenty of comfort and relaxation. The views from the balcony are stunning, making your stay even more memorable. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring every need is met with a smile. Overall, it's a wonderful experience for anyone seeking both comfort and excellent service.
Our stay at the hotel was really disappointing. Despite some nice things like the rooftop view and the building's appearance, it was the worst experience we've ever had. When we arrived, our Luxor-born driver couldn't find the place until he called the owner for directions because there were no clear signs. The man who checked us in was unfriendly, unprofessional, and downright impolite He didn't even have a proper desk for check-in, sitting strangely. He made us feel uncomfortable like he was doing us a favor.
He asked for $10 more than we agreed upon, claiming it was for hidden taxes and services we never received. It would've been better if he had been upfront about it before we booked. Then he kept us waiting for half an hour while he complained about our country and our people. We felt like he was trying to upset us, but we suspected it was his trick to make us leave without using the property and asking for a refund. Despite this, we decided not to give him the satisfaction and stayed on.
When we finally got to our room, it was very unclean. The soap and bedding hadn't been changed, and there wasn't even a chair or desk. The bathroom mirror was too dirty to use properly, and the shower was broken, splashing water everywhere. There weren't even floor towels to dry the bathroom floor.
To make matters worse, we couldn't sleep at night because of the noise from the neighborhood. When we complained, there was no one responsible at the reception, and the next morning, the owner said he couldn't do anything about it. Plus, we were attacked by mosquitoes all night, and when we asked for help, he said he couldn't do anything.
Breakfast was disappointing too. It was just some basic salads and starters, with drinks, and the bread wasn't even fresh. The worst part was that the owner sat next to us the whole time, watching us eat and chat, invading our privacy.
When we left for the day, the owner refused to take the keys, saying he had a spare set. But when we returned, our room was still dirty, and he blamed us for not letting him in. It was really dishonest of him.
The location was close to the Nile.
Rooms were big enough
Excellent staff, great location and super breakfast.
Room with a lot of space, huge balcony, comfy bed, fan and AC very useful. Nice bathroom. Very quiet location, close to the public ferry and local water taxies. Plenty of restaurants around. Swimming pool available. Terrace upstairs with nice view on the Nile River and East Bank. Very competent, professional and helpful staff, ready to help 24/7. Felt very safe.
Weak WiFi signal in the room.
Helpful staff. Sorted out a tour for me at a reasonable price.
Nothing to complain about to be honest.
The staff was communicative, helpful and open to negotiate. The room was clean and spacious, close to the ferry. Value for the money.
Nothing bad particularly about the hotel except for the fact that they use the name of international Ibis Hotel. They don’t have any connections with Ibis international.
The neighbourhood is insecure, dirty and too much hassle by taxi drivers, shopkeepers and kids. The city itself is troublesome in this sense. people are not decent or respectful.
Hotel is new and absolutely clean! Hot water, klimatik system working excellent! Room was big! No noice! Just perfect!
Breakfast could be changed a little be! I wish it be no the sama every day!
