Definitely recommend. One of the best hotels we have stayed in.
Pros:

Property was grand and beautiful. Fabulously clean. Gardens are also very pretty and well kept. Suite was roomy, clean and well furnished as were hallways and restaurants. Spa and pool were really nice.

Devising stay here again
Pros:

Lovely food in the restaurant. Spa was lovely and I enjoyed a treatment whilst there. We shall most definitely stay here again.

Cons:

I would've loved to have had a refrigerator in the room so water could stay cold, but that is nothing compared to the wonderful stray we had.

We will be emailing the hotel with our thoughts as it was short of the standard advertised and would like a response.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and food was nice. Spa facilities were good and swimming pool lovely.

Cons:

The room was short of superior
The bath was not functional, and not able to use!
There was a socket in bedroom which was loose from wall and one not working!
Cups were chipped at breakfast.
The glasses at dinner were not big enough to properly serve red wine and when asked for lager ones there were only two available and one of those was chipped on the base.
Because of another function, we felt it was understaffed and our food orders were muddled somewhat!

I could hear the man next door snoring all night

Wouldn’t stay again.

Reception staff were pleasant.

Cons:

Staff at the awards event I attended were very slow, bar staff had no idea about a lot of drinks. Lots of guests food was cold!

The breakfast staff were standing around doing nothing when there were at least 6 tables that could have had their plates etc cleared from the tables. I ended up putting out crockery on another table because the staff had walked passed several times and not cleared any tables near us.
When I asked if they had sourdough they said no, then I saw it on the menu, so I asked again and I had to explain it about 5 times to the young girl and eventually it was brought out.

Room was dirty in the bathroom, the shower head was hanging off from the wall. There was an exposed plug which was connected to an extension lead right near the kettle which is highly dangerous. All in all not a good experience considering it’s a 4 star hotel.

Lovely but needed the final touches.
Pros:

I loved the look and feel of Rownton Hall it was well cared for

Cons:

I feel there could have been more toiletries offered in the guest bathrooms like disposable toothbrushes mini toothpaste and a variety of herbal teas, also larger towels in the spa. The sound proofing of the rooms was non existent.
