Pros:

The Royal Southern is a beautiful sailing club - great bar, great location, great views.

Cons:

We had a problem with the sink blocking which they were unable to fix. It made it very difficult to use the sink as it was always full of dirty water.

A very pleasant stay.

Good LOCATION

Cons:

I stayed in the suite at £152 for the night room only. The bedroom ceiling is around 5 feet 11 inches headroom. I am 6 feet four stood up from the bed. I’m nearly put my head through the ceiling light there is an RSJ across this low ceiling reducing the height to about 5 foot 5 inches. There is no two-way switching on the ceiling lights and able to switch them off from the bed . There are not enough sockets to be able to charge iPad iPhone phone . You have to climb up a step to access anywhere else and then down a step into a bathroom. The basin tap delivers water to pressure shoots into the bowl and then all over you.
There’s no hair shampoo for the shower
Overall, very disappointing

Great location, and parking but rooms disappointing
Pros:

No breakfast! Many staircases to room ,poor fire safety, poor lighting so difficult to do makeup or shave. Very poor old shower. Overall poor value wouldn’t stay again or recomend.

Everything was very good - staff friendly and helpful, room warm without being too hot.

Beautiful building, poorly staffed.

Nice and clean.

Cons:

No one on reception manning the phones when we arrived, waisted 20 mins trying to raise someone to let us through the barrier. Had to leave the car at the barrier and try to find someone. Eventually found a member who went to find a member of staff, overall we waisted half an hour trying to check in .Not good enough Also why do they not offer breakfast as they obviously have catering kitchens?
