A classic old Greek building converted to a small hotel, with a spectacular view.
Pros:

This small charming hotel is in a historical Greek building that sits right on the water overlooking the bay of Limeni. It was gorgeous there, with a view of the water right out of our window. The caretaker was very helpful and and served a nice home cooked breakfast in the morning.

Cons:

It was hard to find the hotel, because the door was locked and there is only one caretaker on site. But once we sorted that out we had a lovely night in the small town. We were there out of season, early March, so there were few restaurants open that we could walk to. But we found a bistro on the water with excellent fresh caught fish.

A unique stay in an old, but fully modernised, castle right by the sea.
Pros:

A nice old castle - unique location.

Cons:

Room was very small - and with no access to common areas in the evening it was a little cramped. Finding it in the dark was hard. Information needs to mention the one way traffic system in the village and signpost the access. Two hotels in castle with almost same names is confusing.

Book it now! Totally charming in every way.
Pros:

We were captivated by the property and location from the moment we arrived. Right above the crystal clear water, overlooking the stone built village and dramatic Mani landscapes.
The ambience was everything we could have hoped for.
The room was extremely clean and well appointed. Charmingly decorated with a comfortable bed.
Breakfast was anticipated every morning due to the quality of the homemade treats cooked by Giorgia.
We were sad to leave and dream of returning.

Pros:

Der Aufenthalt in Mavromichalai wir mir noch lange in guter Erinnerung bleiben. Wo sonst kann man vom Bett aus direkt aufs Meer schauen? Ein tolles Historisches Gemäuer- wirklich janz besonders. Unerwartet gut war dann noch das üppige Frühtstück das täglich von Giorgia frisch zubereitet wurde und das wir auf der sonnigen Terrasse mit Traumhafter aussicht geniessen kopnnten. Der Geschmack ihrer Selbstgebackenen Zimt-Honig-Plätzchen liegt mir immer noch auf der Zunge.
