dinner , breakfast, room was for the price was brilliant
nothing
Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was good. Hotel conveniently situated to visit Chester and North wales
Hotel was “ tired” in need of refurbishment. Decor drab and dull.
Breakfast was good- not quite outstanding
Staff were running busy most of the time in the evenings; hardly any time for them to fully engage. Also, one of the reasons I stayed was the promise of a fire in the evenings. This was very poorly attended, often going out early; not lit; not burning nicely just smouldering - staff were very busy so could not attend it. This detracted from the enjoyment of an evening.
Breakfast was good; view of the cabal was wonderful
We stayed in the outside annexe accomodation, which was of a very good standard for the price paid, and I would highly recommend a stay in those rooms. Had an evening meal which was also good quality at a reasonable price, with friendly staff service.
Nothing to complain about.
Very comfortable room.
Warm atmosphere.
Nice food.
Lovely atmosphere
Friendly staff
Big rooms
Nothing
Breakfast and dinner were great, but service was slow. Lovely bathroom. Great staff.
More storage space in bedroom (5) and bathroom. Lovely room but not for those of reduced mobility.
Better than expectation!! Lovely place to stay and great location on canal for a walk into Chester
Not much
Well located, warm rooms, good shower room, good breakfast choices and restaurant meals very good
Loved the walk into Chester along the canal
Large free car park
Pleasant staff
Sleep quality not great as mattress hard, pillows soft and light coming into the room that disturbed sleep.
Also could hear everything from the rooms above.
Just didn’t work for my sleep preferences!
Great room, good quality bedding and quiet location. Good WiFi and plenty of parking Bathroom was spacious and spotless but would be nice if it had a bath. Staff were attentive and friendly.
Prices in the restaurant were on the steep side£12:50 for a sandwich and chips.
The room was well appointed and comfortable
The walls allowed noise to travel from next door rooms. I was woken by other people who decided to start talking at 4 am and could hear them as if they were in the same room as me. Could hear other rooms TV noise throughout the evening
Staff great particulary Thomas a waiter. Meal beautiful. Really cosy nooks and cranies, log fires. Room immaculate and super clean. Def will use Vintage inns again
