Quirky decor, super clean, so easy to stay there
Nothing
A little old fashioned but nice, clean with charm. Pleasant staff and a nice pub below serving lovely food, decent value.
TV couldn't be mirrored to Iphone, needs an upgrade. Prefer card key access to rooms rather than old skool keys but in some whats this is also quaint.
Nothing
Cosy & warm
Needed a little updating in places
The room was very spacious, clean, and welcoming and check in/out was easy.
Every member of staff was very friendly.
We booked an evening meal and the food and service was superb. Friendly and helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere.
Breakfast in the morning was really tasty (even though we were still full from the night before!) and there was a very good selection. Again, the member of staff on breakfast duty was helpful and friendly. Will come again!
Lovely cooked breakfast. Good coffee. Some fruit would have been nice and toast could have been warmer.
Would have preferred an upstairs room.
Our small but comfortable room was situated in a quiet block next to the pub. Dinner and breakfast were both good. All the staff we met were very helpful and polite. Midday checkout was extremely helpful.
Food very good and the staff were very friendly.rooms in the annex were lovely.
The pillows were lumpy.the whole place needs a bit of an update, but overall a lovely friendly place to stay .
Sunday luch was excellent as was the breakfast.
Nice cosy clean rooms and friendly staff.
dinner , breakfast, room was for the price was brilliant
nothing
Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was good. Hotel conveniently situated to visit Chester and North wales
Hotel was “ tired” in need of refurbishment. Decor drab and dull.
Breakfast was good- not quite outstanding
Staff were running busy most of the time in the evenings; hardly any time for them to fully engage. Also, one of the reasons I stayed was the promise of a fire in the evenings. This was very poorly attended, often going out early; not lit; not burning nicely just smouldering - staff were very busy so could not attend it. This detracted from the enjoyment of an evening.
Breakfast was good; view of the cabal was wonderful
