Nice spot by the canal, just outside Chester.
Pros:

A little old fashioned but nice, clean with charm. Pleasant staff and a nice pub below serving lovely food, decent value.

Cons:

TV couldn't be mirrored to Iphone, needs an upgrade. Prefer card key access to rooms rather than old skool keys but in some whats this is also quaint.

Pros:

The room was very spacious, clean, and welcoming and check in/out was easy.
Every member of staff was very friendly.
We booked an evening meal and the food and service was superb. Friendly and helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere.
Breakfast in the morning was really tasty (even though we were still full from the night before!) and there was a very good selection. Again, the member of staff on breakfast duty was helpful and friendly. Will come again!

Nice pub with small but comfortable rooms. Helpful, pleasant staff.
Pros:

Our small but comfortable room was situated in a quiet block next to the pub. Dinner and breakfast were both good. All the staff we met were very helpful and polite. Midday checkout was extremely helpful.

Wonderful
Pros:

Breakfast was good- not quite outstanding

Cons:

Staff were running busy most of the time in the evenings; hardly any time for them to fully engage. Also, one of the reasons I stayed was the promise of a fire in the evenings. This was very poorly attended, often going out early; not lit; not burning nicely just smouldering - staff were very busy so could not attend it. This detracted from the enjoyment of an evening.
