It is difficult to find food or services after 7 pm. It is kinda inconvenient.
The staff is extraordinary, although we arrived with an early flight the room was ready and they let us check in. also we were able to leave our bags at teception after check-out. This room comes with breakfast in bed (eggs, bread, juice and coffee). Jacuzzi is lovely on their cold nights and there is a partial view to the square and church. Getting to Las Lajas easy and cheap with the blue busses leaving from the church you see from your hotel window. Elevator. Coffee and peppermint tea at reception 24h.
None of the hotels in this city have heating so I can't really fault it. Not a complaint but you must be patient with hot water as it's coming from street level and it takes a while up to floor 7. No hot water at the sink tap, only the shower and jacuzzi have hot water. The cleaners removed the soap bars and didn't replace them for the next day. If the bed would have been plain, it would be very confortable, it had some kind of curvature in the middle... gravity? 😀 There is some minimal street noise but it's ok, Ipiales is not a noisy town at night like other Colombian places, must be the cold weather.
The address number for the hotel on the website is: 1377. Actually it is: 13-77. It took the taxi driver long to figure it out and took me there.
Great Staff, Room WAS TOO COLD ( No Heater in any hotels in the Area) . Shower took few minutes to get Hot Water ?
