Convenient Location
Pros:

Being so close to Rethymno town was a big plus. We explored during the day and enjoyed lively evenings at the hotel. It offered the best of both worlds: culture and resort comfort.

Beautiful Sea Views
Pros:

One of my favorite things about the hotel was waking up and seeing the sea. The views around the property are lovely, especially later in the afternoon when the light changes. It gave the whole stay a very relaxing feeling.

A Good Base for Exploring Crete
Pros:

The hotel worked very well as a base for discovering the area. We enjoyed spending time at the resort but also took a few trips outside to see more of Crete. Coming back to the hotel afterwards was always nice.

Lovely Place for a Couple
Pros:

We travelled as a couple and had a really enjoyable time. There were plenty of activities available, but we never felt that we had to participate in anything. We could simply enjoy the surroundings, have a drink and take things at our own pace.

Many pools, the size of the room

Cons:

There is a problem with water there as the water is salty and as a result coffee, tea, soups all had sea water taste. The juices were made from concentrate. There is no garden to walk in. Just a steep stairway. The property needs to be renovated. This is not a 5 star hotel.

Seen better days, in the wrong place.
Pros:

Private Pool was good. Food within restaurant was good. Staff were very polite. Kids enjoyed the Slides and pool.

Cons:

Maintenance of rooms has been neglected. Looks like a DIYer maintains it. Both exterior SunBlinds didn't work. Not nearly enough plug sockets. Couldn't use the kettle without turning the TV off, or had to boil water in bedrooms. Bathroom needs replacing. We went 'Half Board' because were not big drinkers, but restaurant guy wanted to charge us 5euro (20euro in total) each day during dinner for what amounted to 6-8 small glasses of cordial juice, so instead we brought our own cans of drink with us. Not much to do nearby - one single Taverna. Everything was a 15 min Bus Ride away. The best communal balcony view (near reception) was adults only, so we couldn't use, so was always underused/empty. All entertainment was in French!

It wasn't a 5 star experience, period.
Pros:

The water park, the bars, the pools.

Cons:

There are smokers everywhere, including next to your room and around the pools.
The food was only decent at best.
Some of the staff members were quite rude, for no reason.
The towel allotment is weird and scarce.
In general it was not a 5 star experience.. it just wasn't.

Fantastic family holiday
Pros:

We loved the swimming pools for the children, they could enjoy splashing and jumping without any issues. There was always enough space for sitting in the pool area. The hotel grounds are beautifully kept, lush mature greenery and flowers everywhere. Plenty of room for sitting and relaxing in the lobby area and outside. It never felt crowded. The staff was amazing. Welcoming and very attentive whether it was the restaurant, Laxmi, Lydia, Mondi and the ladies who were looking after us during our meals and the guys showing us to the table, or the pool bar with always smiling Rahoul, Sophia and Alesia, or the beach bar with lovely Maria. Every interaction was pleasant and they made us feel welcomed. We used the shop on site a few times and Georgia was great advising which sunscreen and after sun care works best. In the evening we were looked after by Giannis in the lobby bar. We enjoyed watching the sunset with the children while playing card games and drinking ouzo. Food was absolutely amazing, we were excited for each meal. Great variety to choose from, fresh and nicely presented. It never felt repetitive. Our children enjoyed tasting different greek meals and loved the deserts and ice-cream. Food is very important for us during our holidays and we were in food heaven. Thank you all!

Cons:

The room was quite small and the decor and furniture was a bit tired. The shower cubicle looked a bit old. However we spent most of our time outside by the pool or on the beach so it didn't take away from our enjoyment of the beautiful holidays.
