Pros:

You can use this place as a base to explore Alishan Nationalpark. The public buses get you there in about 60 to 90 minutes although the last Buses leave Alishan Nationalpark in the afternoon which still gives you time to do some hiking there. A private transport back can be arrangend for about 1800 NTD by the hotel if you want to stay longer. The surrounding Area of Fenxihu is quaint and beautiful with small trails all around the hotel which are Easy to find and are about 30 to 60 minutes each. The hotel itself is very basic but perfectly clean. The staff were very helpful with organizing transfer to Alishan Nationalpark and back.

Pros:

Gute Lage und gute Englisch Kenntnisse. Es wird einem sehr gut erklärt, was man machen kann und es wird einem gut geholfen z.B. wird geschaut, ob man ein Sammeltaxi macht und man sich so die Kosten teilen kann. Vielleicht aufgrund eines Familienbetriebes sehr freundliche Gastgeber.

Cons:

Matratze war für mich persönlich ein bisschen hart.
