Don’t stay here. Lots of other hotels in the area. This is a 1.5 star hotel (being generous).
Pros:

There is nothing nice about this hotel except the location. The neighborhood is genuinely lovely. Great restaurants, excellent vibe, centrally located, wonderful for walking around. Just walk around and keep walking. Walk right past the Museo Xibalba Hotel and stay literally anywhere else.

Cons:

We arrived the afternoon of Christmas Eve. The hotel was empty. And yet they still banished us to the annex building down the street; our four-night stay apparently didn’t qualify us to stay in the main hotel. Our room featured openings to the outside and hallway. Screens, no glass or shutters. Very breezy. We had to enjoy every hallway conversation at all hours.

The annex also houses laundry facilities and staff who begin at 5am with competitive yelling and loud music. The hot water had been claimed by the washing machines. We had cold showers but clean towels.

Now, the “excellent” included breakfast. Every morning felt like the hotel had just discovered the concept of breakfast, which is strange because the restaurant is open to the public. Day 1: “There is no menu.” We ate whatever scraps appeared. Day 2: A menu! We showed our room key, ordered one of the 5 options, and finished. Then someone came pounding on our door demanding payment for items that weren’t included. Nobody mentioned this. Day 3: No menu. Stale bread, sad fruit, lukewarm brown water.

Perfect stay while enjoying Chiapas tours and sites.
Pros:

A restaurant on site. Fresh linens daily. Hot water. Great wifi. A beautiful, artistic neighbourhood 3 min from ADO station where all tours and transport are available. Museum reproductions were amazing! Art studio on site. Artist/Owner is a wonderful and wise man. Loads of restaurants within 2 blocks. Everything you need.

Cons:

Party noise in town all Saturday night was fun for someone else. One staff member was inattentive, while the rest were excellent.

Pros:

Pros:

The location was very convenient, very close to the bus station. The rooms are cleaned everyday, the towels changed… the room has AC which is a great plus and I really appreciated the fact that they let me leave my luggage in the hotel after I’ve checked out.

UNIQUE - Unlike Other Hotels I Have Used
Pros:

This is an extremely charming hotel and the staff are warm and friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is superb. The bed is excellent.

The hotel is situated in a very cool area of tourist hotels and restaurants. One could not ask for a nicer, safer area. I would say the room (and the hotel) is akin to a grand, permanent tent. It is 'open air' to the extent that the hotel itself is open - all hallways, etc. - to the outside air (not to people having access or walking through). While only the fan on the A/C unit in my room worked, that didn't matter because there is a permanently open screened area in the bathroom and bedroom and the air can just flow through - so A/C wouldn't matter much anyway. No heat function. There is also a large screened window that may be opened or closed. All the fresh air you could want!

The hotel and room decor are fresh, clean, attractive, very pleasant in every sense. The room is quite small, but sufficient for one person. The bathroom is very adequate and not cramped. Shower is hot - though shower head really needs replacement. The bottom floor is the hotel reception in one corner and the rest of the front part is a restaurant which continues to the outside - not part of the hotel. Rooms are on another part of the ground floor and on the 2nd and 3rd floors mostly.

If you like a relaxed feel, fresh open air, and a pleasant, relaxed, walkable area and don't mind a small room - you will probably love this place. I just prefer 'closed' air where humidity can be controlled along with temperature and more 'standard' hotel infrastructure.

Cons:

I rated this hotel for what it is - as opposed to how I liked it. I stayed 2 days and 1 night (left late 2nd night for another city). I was glad I was only there 1 night - overall I didn't care much for it - I want a closed controllable climate in my room. I chose it because it is very near the ADO bus terminal and I was arriving and leaving by bus. It was a brief, easy walk for this oldster.
