Best location in Altaussee. The breakfast is outstanding. Especially the Ronnefeldt Tea Selection and the Bread selection.
The Wellness and Sauna area is stunning. I enjoyed it every day.
In this hotel category should be coffee and tea facilities in room.
The WIFI connection was rather poor in the mountain facing room.
To have your assigned place for breakfast is strange. All nice tables where set already for lunch/dinner at 8h30 in the morning
Großartiges Hotel - einfach alles

This is a high quality, family owned hotel in a spectacular location. We have stayed here both as a couple and also with three of our grandchildren - on both occasions we’ve had a high quality experience. As well as the location and excellent accommodation, the hotel also has a high quality restaurant with a very talented chef.
We have spent beautiful days by You. The staff was very friendly. The wellness department is also excellent. Our dog Luna had also great time. She really liked the reward snack. It was a nice gesture from you. The wellcome drink was fine too. All in all, we had a great time!
le swimming pool, the sauna, the food - the atmosphere, the surroundings
Its really the best hotel in the lake of zell am see , at the check in was Mr.marco , was very fast check in and he was so helpful and we get all we need ,sure we will come back to this nice hotel ,Mr marco get us very good rate i really appritiate it ,thanks again
Came to enjoy breakfast with family and friend. Arrived a little before 1000 and was rudely told off by the head waitress that they have no more semmeln bread and not taking more guests (even though was relatively empty and another table was seated a moment before us). Couldn't help but feeling that the fact that we weren't locals gave her confidence to shoo us rudely away. When my partner, who is Austrian, joined a moment later, he just got angry at her language and attitude and we left. There are much nicer places to eat in Altausee. Very sad.
The positive sides: Beautiful location. Very good breakfast (even "Weißwurst" on Sundays!) and dinner (worth the money). The rooms are tidy and well designed, although not specially spacious. Each of our rooms (we had to change - for the reasons see below) had a balcony facing the lake, providing stunning views of the surrounding landscape. There's a well designed wellness with saunas, an indoor pool and a spacious relax area. The hotel also offers a gym (did not visit it). The service was excellent, service personnel was very friendly and helpful. Several waiters are obviously from Germany. Although they are at least as friendly and competent as their Austrian colleagues, it was not what I expected and I had to remind myself that I am in an Austrian country hotel and not in Berlin (note: I am not critisizing the hotel or the personnel, I am only writing about my personal experience and feelings).
Now to the one - and, for me, serious - shortcoming: Our room was located one floor above the door where the personnel goes out for a smoke. As a result we could not leave the balcony door open. Every couple of minutes the awful smell of cigarette smoke would fill the room. Even worse, the smell entered the room even when the door was closed. Presumably through some installations in the plaster wall, I don't know. I only know that the bad smell woke me up at 6 a.m. and it seemed to emanate from the wall at the head end of the bed. The hotel gave us a room one floor higher and at least there was no cigarette smell entering the room through the walls and I could sleep. However, leaving the balcony door open was still not possible for the reason described above. Note: this problem may not exist at other rooms (however, every balcony is graced by an ashtray, so you can expect that there is always someone in a nearby room who goes out for a smoke and that the exhaust fumes will waft through your open balcony door. To be fair, Seevilla is surely not the only place where one has to put up with that).
Finally, I consider the price of €300+ to be on the rather high side, even when taking into account the many advantages.
