Pros:

La struttura è molto pulita e curata. Il personale attento e gentile. La struttura è aperta sulla spiaggia, ma offre privacy e relax. Ho adorato tutto

Pros:

Very small cosy place, good restaurant with interesting menu including local spécialities. Beach is super close and even has souvenir shops nearby without any hassle or exorbitant prices We got picked up by the local diving club and brought back. Shuttle service to and from was also very convenient.

Cons:

My daughter is allergic to pineapple and we just couldn't get the staff to remember. On several occasions we had to send a drink back because it contained pineapple despite not being on the list of ingredients

Esperienza oltre le aspettative.
Pros:

Posizione eccellente dalla camera a pochissimi metri dalla spiaggia, camera spaziosa così come il bagno. Personale gentilissimo e sempre presente, cibo veramente ottimo.

Cons:

L' unica cosa che non abbiamo gradito avendo la mezza pensione, il fatto di dover aggiungere a cena dei soldi per circa il 50 per cento dei piatti del menù.

Location is really nice and staff perfect. Always smiling and happy to assist. Breakfast is a real treat.

Cons:

Cook might have changed as the food was not as superb as in October when we last visited. For example fish was not cut pro for ceviche or tartar...

Pros:

Beautiful hotel right on the beach. Very small and intimate - perfect for us. The staff was very nice, polite and helpful. The management showed excellent attention to detail. The rooms were super-clean and stylish.

Cons:

Nothing I can think of. The WiFi could be a little slow sometimes, but that is very common in Zanzibar.

Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Ort zum Erholen – wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!
Pros:

Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt hier in Poa Poa. Es ist eine kleine, super gemütliche Anlage – wortwörtlich direkt am Strand. Man geht aus seinem Apartment hinaus und steht sofort im feinen, weichen Sand. Das Hotel hat einen ganz besonderen Charme, den wir sehr genossen haben. Frühstück und Abendessen mit direktem Blick aufs Meer waren ein echtes Highlight. Die Atmosphäre war ruhig und entspannend – ideal, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen und einfach mal abzuschalten.
Der Strand ist öffentlich, sodass man leicht mit Einheimischen in Kontakt kommt – alle waren sehr freundlich und offen. Das Zimmer war gemütlich eingerichtet und bot alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht.

Cons:

Einziger Minuspunkt waren die Strandverkäufer, die einen doch recht häufig ansprachen - jedoch nie unhöflich.

We were in Zanzibar for 12 days, and we wanted to vary between two hotels, but in hindsight, after a hotel like Powa Powa you don’t find a similar feeling anywhere else.
The hotel is very beautiful, warm, and homey.
All the hotel staff are excellent and kind, we connected with everyone and we also miss everyone today.
The hotel is maintained and managed in the best way possible. Managers walk around the hotel and check that everything is in order.
The food is excellent, great shows, everything was precise. Exactly how a person imagines their vacation.
I will recommend the hotel to anyone who flies to Zanzibar.

We enjoyed it so much—this is an experience we won’t forget!

Beaucoup de choses, chambre contre la route. Pas de vue sur la mer. Coupure électricité continuelle. Petit déjeuner très moyen . Nous sommes partis avant la fin de notre séjour.

Die Poa Poa Bungalows in Kiwengwa sind ein absoluter Wohlfühlort. Die Anlage liegt direkt am Strand, sodass man vom Bungalow aus in wenigen Schritten den feinen weißen Sand und das türkisfarbene Meer erreicht. Das Meeresrauschen begleitet einen den ganzen Tag – einfach traumhaft! Die Bungalows sind liebevoll eingerichtet, sauber und bieten genau die richtige Mischung aus Komfort und natürlichem Charme. Ein weiteres Highlight ist das Essen: Frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und unglaublich lecker. Besonders der frische Fisch und die lokalen Gerichte haben uns begeistert.
Das Team der Poa Poa Bungalows ist einfach wundervoll. Herzlich, warm, aufrichtig freundlich – man fühlt sich nicht wie ein Gast, sondern wie ein gern gesehener Freund. Jede Begegnung, jedes Gespräch und jedes Lächeln war echt und herzlich. Dieses Gefühl der Geborgenheit findet man selten auf Reisen.
Poa Poa ist mehr als nur eine Unterkunft. Es ist ein Platz, an dem man ankommt, tief durchatmet und das Gefühl hat, genau richtig zu sein. Wir werden diesen besonderen Ort in unserem Herzen tragen – und definitiv zurückkehren.
