Breakfast was $2 USD. The rooms were EXACTLY as described. Yes, you can see the jungle floor, yes there are some little geckos, and yes, the room only had fans. The staff were amazing, accommodating, and provided local insights. In hindsight, I wouldn't need a full kitchen since food was so affordable on the island. Just plan on eating out for every meal that isn't a beach snack. You won't regret it. We visited the beach over 100 times, and the walk was less than 2 minutes.
I wish the Wi-Fi was a little more functional. Hot water didn't work on our last day, but I think they were already working on that. I wish the little bookstore was open more regularly.

I loved it here. I was super comfortable in my cabin and it was really clean. The fans were more than enough to keep me cool. Highly recommend!!
Nothing
Bus (Ruta 2 from Coxen Hole) drops off 50m from hotel. Dive centre, hotel and hostel with wooden cabins all rolled into one, with onsite café for food and drinks. Lovely, helpful, English (and Spanish) speaking staff. Extremely clean environment. Key to cabins out back. Excellent wifi/internet/network throughout. Small kitchen 'hut' with basics (4 ring gas hob, microwave, large fridge/freezer, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Compost bin for uncooked food waste. Table and chairs to eat at outside (sheltered from rain).
A great deal is emphasised on environmental protection, Plenty of recycling bins, and lots of reminders to switch things off when not in use and to conserve energy.
We stayed in one of the lovely back cabins, consisting of a sheltered front porch with seating, hammock and clothes drying lines. Inside bedroom with ceiling fan & extra stand up fan. Small double bed and separate single bed. 2 rails with plenty of clothes hangers and 2 little tables
Plenty of lights and some powerpoints around room. Light switch by side of bed. Small bathroom with hot shower! Plenty of towel hooks and shelves.
So far, this has been the best 'backpacker' accommodation we've stayed in throughout Honduras. The pictures on booking.com do not do the cabins justice, they are far nicer than they look!
Very little storage in room (it is a small room after all, they do the best possible with the given size),
Bathroom could do with mirror and light over sink (instead of the mirror over the toilet).
Drinking water was already supplied as a 5 gallon bottle at the cabin for another US$3, it would be nice if this just came with the room, we used less than a third in the 4 nights we were there, so paid for more than we could possibly drink.
Card payments come with fee (common on the island), but both dollars and Lempiras accepted.
Super close to the Beach
Very nice breakfast place next to the accommodation
Dive Shop on the accommodation
The Bar on the other Site of the street is also very relaxed
Accommodation is great, bungalows are basic but still very comfortable and it feels like you live in the Dschungel with animals around
Our favorite person was the cat
Nothing to comlain, super friendly people. Great place
Excellent everything!
Sometimes a bit noisy at night (last cottage at the back) but overall excellent and very friendly owner and staff.
Top Lage, freundliches Personal
The property is the perfect mix of central and secluded. A short walk from everything and still feels like a jungle retreat.
For me, it was perfect! But read the description carefully and know your own travel style. Everything you need, but no frills.
Facilities were remote yet close to all the activities on the West End.
We found no issues where we stayed
Todo estuvo bien.
Estuve varios dias y no hicieron aseo.
The location was fantastic. Right at the beach and Sundowners a Canadian restaurant and bar with craft beer on tap!).
Michelle and Ashanti were extremely helpful and very knowledgable. Room was perfect except for the heat which is not their fault; it's Roatan in the summer. Two large fans did their job though; especially at night. The hotel was right where all the taxis, water taxis, restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, and tour guides were. In my opinion, West End is a lot nicer, more congenial, easy going, laid back, and less touristy, and more entertaining, than West Bay.
The heat; but what can you do? It's much more natural than West Bay. I felt more connected to nature in this jungle environment.
