Short, not-so-quiet stay

Great location. Good breakfast spread.

Cons:

The door of the room does not cut off noise from the corridor. Highly irritating, noisy bunch of people talking in the corridor late into the night. Every time the door of a nearby room opens or shuts, the banging noise is so clearly heard inside my room. Highly irritating.

Huge shoutout to the Bibas security team, Nabendra from housekeeping, and Nidhi and Srinivas at the front desk. They were incredibly sweet, helpful, and made our stay truly wonderful with their warm welcome every time we entered the hotel. We absolutely loved their enthusiasm and genuine hospitality. The security team was amazing as well — they received my parcel and handed it over without any delays. Truly an outstanding team and one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had so far!

Cons:

One drawback during our stay was the experience at check-in with one of the female security staff members. She did not seem happy to assist us, which made us feel unwelcome. She initially told us that our check-in was at 11:30 AM and that we had to wait, even though our Booking.com confirmation mentioned complimentary check-in between 10 AM and checkout at 4 PM. Later, she agreed to let us check in but made it seem like an exception because we were “special guests,” which did not feel genuine. I truly value honesty and professionalism, and this approach did not reflect well on the reputation of Ibis.

We also faced a small issue with currency conversion as we were travelling from London. When we politely asked about different payment options, she appeared irritated and unwilling to help. Despite us apologising multiple times, she continued making unpleasant expressions, which was disappointing and felt unprofessional.

Additionally, when we asked if the hotel could collect our parcel in case it arrived before us, she immediately refused and said they do not offer that service. She also began complaining about us to other staff members, which was quite upsetting and unprofessional. However, the security team and the duty manager later informed us that it could be accommodated as i have seen other customers Parcel been collected, which we truly appreciated.

I genuinely wish we had been assisted by Nidhi, the duty manager, who was excellent, warm, and extremely professional. After that interaction, we made sure to approach other staff members for any queries instead.
