The location and the design

The worst hotel and service I’ve ever seen they tried steal our money by extra charge in our credit card! All the room was flooding by water. They didn’t wanna change our room.!

Serious Lack of Professionalism and Poor Management
Unfortunately, I must express deep disappointment with our experience at Borgo Smeraldo.
We encountered serious issues accessing guest rooms late at night, with no staff available, improvised solutions, and no timely support from the property.
Even more concerning was the unqualified and unmotivated staff, a clear lack of attention to guests, and total indifference after the stay — despite multiple follow-up emails, we received no reply or apology from management.
A property that presents itself as high-end should at the very least guarantee basic standards of service, safety, and customer care — all of which were completely lacking in this case.
This level of management is unacceptable and seriously undermines trust in the reliability and reputation of the establishment.

The property and the staff were exceptional. It exceeded any expectations we had for our first trip to Sardinia.
The staff in the bar, restaurant and at breakfast were very warm, welcoming and very helpful. The location is great with superb views and the room is good and well equipped with a very comfortable bed.
The bathroom is a little dated, with a poor shower and the terrace was not a welcoming place. Dinner service was slow and the restaurant was closed on our first night. Overall the cost did not match the overall experience.

The charging commission but saying they are not . Ask to book a boat charges 1500euros 200 , had to pay directly to them . I Had to pay separately.

Very well kept grounds, nice views, pleasant service (especially Sabina in the breakfast cafe). Overall I liked it, but couldn’t love it.
Not 5 stars as it didn’t compare favorably to several other hotels we visited in Sardinia. Towels were old and threadbare, sheets were a bit scratchy, shower didn’t drain and was generally unappealing, balcony felt vacant (add low maintenance potted plants to give it character), art on walls was poorly centered, and generally the place lacked both vitality and a soulful curation that supports true relaxation.
