I arrived very late but Angela was very understanding and welcoming.
The room was very spacious, the bed comfortable and the shower nice and hot. The breakfast was very good and plentiful.
The location was great, being very close to the main road through the town and close to plenty of bars and restaurants.
The only thing that could have been better would have been a longer stay!
Brilliant property
It was nice and beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was good.
Villa Angela was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was spotlessly clean and our room was serviced beautifully every day. We even had a bathtub in our bathroom - a rare godsend for a ski-trip. Angela was on hand to give advice on where to go, how to get around the town, where the ski bus left from and how often. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and our coffee order was remembered every day, which made us feel really welcome. We are already planning our return next year.

Wir haben unseren zweitägigen Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen! Wir durften als erste Gäste ein frisch renoviertes Zimmer beziehen - stilvoll und unaufgeregt blieben keine Wünsche offen! Sehr bequemes Bett.
Das Frühstück bietet eine großzügige Auswahl, die Gastgeber sind unheimlich nett und sehr bemüht, den Aufenthalt bestmöglich zu gestalten.

Overall a very good stay. Friendly and helpful staff - Angela is knowledgeable and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. The hotel is located in a quieter part of town (good for evenings) but still easy access to restaurants, bars, ski shop etc. Lifts are a short walk away. I will stay here again and recommend to friends.
I arrived fairly late as I'd had a long day driving. Nonetheless, Angela was immediately very friendly and happy to help with any of my queries.
The room was great, the wooden style was charming, fitting of the alpine setting. The price was very reasonable and I ended up getting a better room than I had booked!
The hotel felt 'family run', which was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't intending on having breakfast as I was late down in the morning. They kindly offered for me to stay for breakfast, but as I wanted to be on my way, let me make myself a sandwich to take with me.
The parking was spacious and easy; as it was quiet, I was allowed to leave my car there for the morning whilst I skiied. Long-term parking in Mayrhofen can be challenging.... so this was much appreciated.
If I'm ever back in Mayrhofen, this will be top of the list!
I couldn't find the check-in desk bell (to the right of the desk... sort of behind a plant) as I eventually realised...
The hotel itself would be okay if not for the host
I am honestly surprised by this hotel's high rating, as I have never encountered such a hostile host anywhere else. My friends and I booked three rooms and checked in at different times, but every one of us had a bad experience with her. She communicated not only in an unfriendly way but in an outright hostile manner. She also provided incorrect information—for example, claiming it is not allowed to walk in ski boots in Mayrhofen (???) and that a guest card is not required for the bus to the Hintertuxer Gletscher (it is required, and the driver checks it).
My friends who brought their cat probably had the worst experience of their lives at this hotel. Although the listing states "pets allowed on request," she initially refused to give them their room when they arrived in the evening, but later agreed to let the cat stay for an extra €25/day. Then, during check-out, she literally threw a tantrum, shouting at them and trying to extort extra money for cleaning and a room upgrade they never requested. I hope they share their own review here. Looking at other reviews, it seems someone else also had a similar experience when bringing a dog.
Stay away from this hotel if you don’t want to ruin your holiday. There are plenty of other hotels in Mayrhofen with much friendlier owners.
