Villa Angela

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Angela. When I arrived in the evening there was a lovely handwritten note waiting for me at reception with my key, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long journey. The guesthouse itself is absolutely beautiful – a traditional Austrian style building, spotlessly clean, and when I arrived it had already been decorated for Easter which made it feel especially welcoming and cosy. When I got to my room I was pleasantly surprised to find that Angela had kindly upgraded me from a single to a very spacious double room. As a solo traveller it was a lovely gesture. The room itself was immaculate, smelled beautiful, and even had a four-poster bed which made it feel extra special.

Breakfast each morning was excellent – a generous continental spread with fresh bread delivered daily, plenty of meats and cheeses, and eggs available if you wanted something warm. The coffee was always replenished and the staff member helping at breakfast was incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was also lovely chatting with other guests around the breakfast table, which created a really nice atmosphere. The rooms include a minibar, and although there was coffee provided, as a very typical Brit I asked if it might be possible to have tea. Angela immediately provided a kettle and cup for the room, which was so thoughtful and allowed me to pop some milk in the fridge and enjoy a proper cup of tea whenever I liked.

The boot room for ski and snowboard gear was fantastic, and the location couldn’t have been better – only about a five or six minute walk to the gondola, while still being in a quiet part of town. It was peaceful but still just a short walk from all the restaurants and activity in the centre of Mayrhofen. There is also a hotel spa about five minutes down the road where I spent a wonderfully relaxing afternoon enjoying several floors of saunas and relaxation areas, which I would highly recommend. Angela and her staff are extremely friendly and kind. Always willing to help and make you feel comfortable. Also very clean.

De Oostenrijkse sfeer en het comfort. Vriendelijke ontvangst door Angela zelf. Dit huis is tot in de puntjes schoon, netjes, Oostenrijks. Heerlijk ontbijt in sfeervolle ontbijtzaal, fijne bedden, ruimte kamers, goede ligging in het dorp. 5 minuten lopen naar de Penkenbahn/ de skilift.

I arrived very late but Angela was very understanding and welcoming.
The room was very spacious, the bed comfortable and the shower nice and hot. The breakfast was very good and plentiful.
The location was great, being very close to the main road through the town and close to plenty of bars and restaurants.

Villa Angela was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was spotlessly clean and our room was serviced beautifully every day. We even had a bathtub in our bathroom - a rare godsend for a ski-trip. Angela was on hand to give advice on where to go, how to get around the town, where the ski bus left from and how often. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and our coffee order was remembered every day, which made us feel really welcome. We are already planning our return next year.

Erittäin kiva hotelli keskeisellä paikalla Mayrhofenissa. Lyhyt matka hisseihin ja skibusseihin. Hyviä ravintoloita ja kylpylä lähellä. Erittäin mukava ja avulias henkilökunta ja erityismaininta siisteydestä!
