Please note that Berghotel Blaickner's Sonnalm can only be reached by the Sonnenalmbahn Cable Car.

Please note that this cable car only operates between 08:30 and 16:30 in winter and between 09:00 and 17:00 in summer. There is no other possibility to get to the valley after 16:30.

Please note that the restaurant does not serve halal food.Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.

Gezellig verblijf.
Pros:

De locatie, uitzicht over het dal. Je kan zo de piste op. Gezellige familiesfeer. Heerlijk avondeten.

Cons:

Je bent wel gebonden aan het hotel, je kan niet in de avonduren als de skilift gesloten is naar beneden het dorp in.

Pros:

Sehr authentischer und gut geführter, traditioneller Familienbetrieb. Alles sehr liebevoll gestaltet, tolles Team, gutes Essen. Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen. Direkter Zugang zum Skigebiet. Traumhaftes Panorama. Perfekt für den Skiurlaub. Ein altes Bauernhaus mit dementsprechend reduziertem Komfort, dafür aber umso uriger.

What a cool building and location - I felt like a medieval prince staying here.

Glad that I stayed here and wished it was for more than 1 night.

The included dinner and breakfast , as well as the friendliness and service from the staff , far exceeded my expectations. It was also cool to hear a little bit about the history of the building.

Cons:

The only downside is that it’s at the top of a hill, and the cable car stops running very early in summer.

I knew this when I booked, but arrived too late anyway and had to hike 1.5hrs up the hill. Given that I was visiting Austria in summer specifically for hiking, this wasn’t actually a bad thing in the end (beautiful views up the mountain path). But a tradeoff to be aware of if you wish to remain in the town centre later at night.

Great hotel with amazing view and staff
Pros:

Amazing experience at the Blaickner's Sonnalm. Very friendly staff, and very good food in morning / evening. After a full day of skiing/boarding, an cold beer in the hottub. We would definitely come back!
