Superb
Pros:

Great place with a fantastic individual feel to it. Dali the hostess/owner is great with a lot of local knowledge of the village and it's surroundings/ history. The premises are currently adding more rooms as they downscale from the amazing bar/restaurant they previously ran. This can only mean more people get to benefit from the friendly welcome and environment.

We came as strangers and left as friends.
Pros:

The Casa Tarzan isn't really a hotel. It's a family home with guest rooms. We loved meeting the family and interacting with them. They helped with our Spanish, and we helped with their English. We had lots of fun getting to know each other.
Dally even organized a day long private tour for us.
We came as strangers and left as friends intending to keep communicating. We wish them the best.

It is not just a place to stay but a place to experience.
Pros:

The property has such a beautiful design. It is created out of raw materials in such a clever way. There are many interesting things to discover while walking around the hotel. The food is excellent and the staff is amazing. Thank you to them for everything they shared with us. Absolutely amazing!!

Interesting hote, different, exotic environment
Pros:

Βreakfast very good. Location as well, near the centre. Jungle type garden with many plants, bamboo construction, very good meals. The roons very interesting, different, you feel like staying in the jungle. All made of bamboo, even the shower. Bath with herbs included in the price.

Cons:

Staff kind but no communication, only in spanish, anyhow all over Colombia nobody speaks english or any other language. Problem with the water- shower accommodation. In some of the rooms we had to wash in a bucket ..!!!! And not only for one day!

funky place a short walk to the center
Pros:

linda made us feel welcome, good breakfast too

Cons:

it was further from all the restaurants than I would have liked, would have liked being able to use the upstairs of the restaurant area to just hang out in, should be able to pay with credit card, lots of street noise

Highly recommend
Pros:

The amazing decor and most of all Dally's hospitality. Good food too. By far the most memorable stay in Colombia, if not anywhere.

Cons:

It was a bit noisy outside but that is to be expected with a central location in the heart of town.

Super friendly and great location
Pros:

The hotel has a really cool design and the owner, Dally and her staff are all super friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in town making it easy to wander around and visit but, at the same time is off the main street and so peaceful and quiet at night. The meals are superb. I loved the trout cooked in a plantain leaf with herb and spices and served with an amazing salad.

Superb
Pros:

Staff very helpful and could organise English speaking guides for the achealogical park if needed and the price they quoted was the same as at the gate of the park, hotel is very very quirky so may not be to everyone's taste but I loved it. Bed is the most comfortable I have slept in for all my time in Colombia.
If you want a hot shower they boil up water on the stove and deliver it in a big bucket with ladel and leave it at your door 🤗 which is in keeping with the quirkiness of the place. Shower/bath is huge!!
5 minute walk from bus.
Staff only speak Spanish with a little English which might be an issue for some.

Cons:

Not a problem of the hotel but I feel the south of Colombia struggles with a lack of visitors which they say has never really picked up after the pandemic.
I was the only guest at the hotel and speaking to others around town it was similar in most hotels.
It is worth the effort if you have time to get there and support the tourism economy.
Maybe a bit more lighting in the room would be good.
