Amazing.
Pros:

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. Everything was great, the staff but the greatest experience was the people of Ometepe. They are amazing people and very welcoming of tourist.

Sehr schöner Ort
Pros:

Sehr schöne und idyllische Anlage. Unser Zimmer war gemütlich, sehr sauber und alles hat gut funktioniert. Die Mitarbeitenden haben uns bei allem unterstützt, ob es um Ausflüge ging, oder die Organisation der Weiterreise. Das Restaurant war sehr gut. Wir sind zu Fuß in ca. 45 Min. zum Ojo de Agua gelaufen.

Cons:

Für den gezahlten recht hohen Zimmerpreis wäre es schön gewesen ein Frühstück dabei zu haben.

Pros:

I loved the welcome I received, the kind and courteous staff, the wonderful food, and the gorgeous location. Walking distance to other restaurants right on the gorgeous lake. It felt safe and clean. Even a pair of Yellow Nape Amazons visit the neighbouring tree each night! What a treat...

Pros:

Het personeel is fantastisch, vriendelijk behulpzaam , maar vooral oprecht .

Cons:

Het was wat aanpassen als je een koffie drinker bent en niet je koffie op de kamer kon maken , MAAR ik kon rond 6 u in de ochtend gewoon terecht aan de bar en iedereen zette koffie voor mij , mocht het mee nemen naar de kamer of lekker met een sigaretje in de zetels voor in de veranda , het was dus geen probleem

Comfortable Stay
Pros:

Nice beds, PET FRIENDLY!!! A decent location for the Maderas volcano hike. Close to Ocean Market convenience store.

Cons:

They made an error on our checkout, and we had to send them more money afterward. The restaurant is overpriced for the quality of food.

Beautiful views of the lake. With some TLC, it could be great
Pros:

It’s in a good location, right by the lake, although not within walking distance to any decent bars or restaurants. You really need a car or scooter on Ometepe. You can walk to the natural springs (about 35mins), which are lovely. The staff were great. The view from the room was gorgeous

Cons:

As many other reviews have mentioned, the property is fairly run down. The wi-fi is sketchy. You pay extra for breakfast. The food is ok, particularly if you stick to the simpler things on the large menu. I paid to upgrade my room but it was very basic. No coat hangers in the wardrobe, a very noisy fridge, Terrible lighting and a very dated bathroom. No thermostatic shower - Be sure to turn the hot water tap off before the cold tap - the hot water will burn you. This property is great but they really need to spend some money on it, to bring it up to standard.

El colchón de la cama fué horrible. Las dos personas caíamos hacia el centro. La habitación mal cerrada con lo que provocaba corriente de aire. A la llegada nos dijeron que el desayuno estaba incluído y después nos lo cobraron.

Great Hotel Location but avoid the Restaurant
Pros:

We had a wonderful time during our four-day stay at the property in late September/early October. The view was amazing, and the great location with direct lake access truly made our trip special.

Cons:

While the hotel property itself was great, we had a negative experience at the on-site restaurant. On our first visit, the staff attempted to hurriedly charge us for two extra, unordered dishes. We only caught the "mistake" after reviewing and photographing the receipt. Their explanation, which blames the error on "the Internet", felt insincere and left us with a feeling of distrust. Consequently, we avoided eating at the hotel for the remainder of our stay.

Pros:

We loved our stay at Villa Paraíso. The pool was nice and the location right on the beach was second to none. Our room was large and we enjoyed having AC and a fridge.

Cons:

There were excrements left by some animal on the hammock when we arrived. Other than that there were a lot of tiny flies, but that's not on the hotel, just be ready for them when you go to Ometepe. They don't bite so it's not too bad!
