The wellness was great, the food was delicious
The heating was not working properly,
The hotel has a good situation close to the ski areál, it has renovated rooms made out of wood with great design what makes it really cosy and nice in this location.
Maybe the entrance 'decorations' with an artificial small lake are too much from the interior-design point of view, but as the hotel is suitable for children they probably appreciate this type of features.
A hotel run by a super kind family - even the 2 year old offers a playful hand in the after dinner clean-up, which was heartwarming to see.
Our family room (more like an apartment) was a refurbished one, quiet, well heated, with valley view from the terrace, fitted out with very comfortable beds - and a bathroom with a bathtub, which is not that common in hotels.
The breakfast at the very first glance seemed underwhelming, but actually, the most important continental breakfast basics were all available. The dinner was varied throughout the 3 nights and even my picky kids could find what to eat.
The pool is deep enough to swim some lengths after a day on the mountain. Parking: in front of the building, couldn't be more comfortable.
Mönichkirchen is far from everything, but a few ski slopes are in the neighbourhood. We visited the WEXL Arena only 18 minutes drive away (as the local one - 10 minutes walk - was about to close down due to insufficient snow levels).
I must repeat, how welcoming, kind and professional was the whole Their family.
Nothing massive negatives here, but half of our family (in the double rooms) got pretty outdated rooms, those were a bit of a time travel. Fully functional, spotlessly clean, but it was an unexpected way to hop back to the glorious 90's. The pool and the jacuzzi share the same water - I expected the jacuzzi to be much warmer. The dinners were a bit random in quality, but we never left hungry.
Ample breakfast and dinner in the price, however the selection wasn't that wide. Altogether it's a charming hotel with a really nice staff. The wellnes section after a long skiing day was beyond our expectations.
The staff was incredible friendly and helpful. The foods were delicious.
We are planning to go back around summertime. The hotel and the location was perfect to us.
Really friendly staff, couldn’t do more to help. Good location, nice pool and spa pool.
Dated, stiflingly hot rooms. All meals are buffet and a little uninspiring.
Very good variety and quality
Sweet Sweet staff
A nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Small, but very nice wellness facilities.
The breakfast and the dinner is tasty, the restaurant is well lit, spacious.
The hotel is in a good location, in overall clean and cozy.
There is a small bar and a room for social activities (eg table games)
Check in/check out was fast and straightforward.
The room could be a bit bigger and the ventilation of the bathroom could be improved,
Dining times could be a bit longer. Selection of drinks could be wider.
In winter time the hotel is a bit overheated and heating cannot be properly regulated in the rooms.
The ski lift is too far on foot (uphill) - 2 minutes with car. But none of these are critical.
WiFi coverage is very week, this could well be improved. I would still recommend the hotel to anyone.
