Besonders kinderfreundlich!
The property was clean and comfortable. Rooms were spacious.
Despite the issues, the nature and location were good, and the village itself was quite charming.
-I think the reception staff should be more informative about the facilities, details, and schedules. They should also be more talkative and friendly. It was the first time we weren't asked how our stay was. After a certain hour there was no reception at all.
-Restaurant, pool, and spa facilities etc. could have had longer opening hours.
-WiFi process was weird. Nobody informed us about it, and we had to ask. Eventually, someone brought us a piece of kind of top-secret WiFi credentials paper that we need additional for every single device..
-Rooms were kind of old, had tiny TVs, no air-conditioning, and no kettles, empty mini-bar, no snacks etc. The poor breakfast and other characteristics.. in general made it feel like this shouldn't have been a four-star hotel. We even had to pay to get some tea:)
-Cleaning staff did not pay attention to the 'do not disturb' sign at all, which was confusing and disturbing.
-Last but not least, why did we have to ask for slippers? These should already be provided in the room.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst on a 5 week touring holiday. Got to say, out of all the hotels we stayed in, in France, Switzerland, Italy and Belgium, this was the only one that answered our emails promptly and correctly answered all our queries. We found the staff at reception extremely friendly, helpful and very professional, this is lacking in a lot of hotels these days, so keep up the amazing work, it is so very much appreciated by your guests. All the staff worked together so well it was like watching a well oiled machine. The room was very clean, modern with fridge, good shower, comfy bed. Like most places in Austria there was no air con, so on a hot day ask for an upper floor with opening window. Lovely large swimming pool, indoor and out, and nice saunas and relaxation areas, nice lawn area with sun beds. There did not seam to be many waiters working in the large dining room but they did a wonderful job, never kept you waiting, very friendly and did not look rushed or harassed, incredible really. The hotel has obviously been very good for a long time and talking to other guests, they had a lot of repeat business year on year. I don’t think they were very used to having many British only speaking guests but they all communicated with us very well and made us feel welcome and part of the family. One waiter in particular was so lovely and kept chatting to us, unfortunately I can not remember his name, but they were all very nice. The meals were really interesting and tasty, the buffet salad was simple but good and the soups were nice. Nice large patio area with lovely views to sit on a nice evening. Was lacking a lounge area to have a drink after a meal on a cold or rainy evening, only one small bar area with about 6 stools. Parking was very good or you could also pay extra for a closed garage which was about €5 per night however if felt very safe and you could easily find a safe spot for a highly prized car. Would highly recommend.
We had very nice and comfortable rooms with had a view of the Grimming just opposite (unfortunately , due to not too favorable weather we never saw this mountain). The Hotel staff was very friendly, particularly at the reception, where they were able to give us a lot of useful tips for interesting excursions. The room was very clean and comfortable, the weakest point being the shower. Not top of the range , but adequate. The food was quite good, both in the evening and in the morning. The robot carrying the dirty dishes out was a bonus in entertainment!
The rooms are maybe a teeny bit outdated, but very clean and a great size. Food was great (included breakfast, lunch, afternoon cake and dinner), although dinner menus were only in German which might be a problem if you don't understand the language. Staff were very helpful and friendly (and spoke excellent English). Bowling alley was always empty but is a lot of fun and the pool wasn't too busy either while we were there. A great hotel for seeing the lakes and mountains in the area!
Hotel and staff are well matched. Staff are helpful, kind and have the ability to anticipate your every need and remember any special requirements that you and your family might have. Building is comfortable, well planned and caters for everything the weary traveller coming to this part of the world could wish for.
Food is superb, always beautifully prepared and presented, little people receive special attention, service is efficient without making you feel "rushed".
Spa, pools and wellness centre are all that you could wish for.
Rooms are large, comfortable, beds wonderfully comfortable, housekeeping faultless.
