Eine Grausame Nacht
Cons:

Es war einfach nur grausam. Als ich zum Einchecken ankam, fand ich die Rezeptionsmitarbeiterin im Restaurant vor, wo sie mit einem Gast etwas trank. Sie war sichtlich gestört von meinem Erscheinen und davon, dass ich nun einchecken wollte.
Ich würde behaupten, dass Deutsch und Schweizerdeutsch sprachlich nicht sehr weit auseinanderliegen. Allerdings kam es mir so vor, als hätte ich Afghanisch oder Mongolisch gesprochen – so schlecht hat mich die Dame an der Rezeption verstanden.
Bis ich endlich eingecheckt hatte, verging gefühlt eine halbe Ewigkeit – von den Unannehmlichkeiten ganz zu schweigen. Das Zimmer war sehr rustikal, alt und klein. Das Bad erinnerte mich eher an eine Jugendherberge. Für ganze 95 CHF muss ich sagen, war es tatsächlich eines der schlechtesten Hotels, in dem ich je war. Langsam habe ich das Gefühl, dass das typisch für die Schweiz ist: Entweder sind die Hotels ausgezeichnet oder total schlecht. Dieses gehörte eindeutig zur zweiten Kategorie.
Ich kann es nicht einmal nach dem Motto „für eine Nacht tut es“ empfehlen – denn selbst eine Nacht ist schon zu viel verlangt. Das Schnarchen aus dem Nebenzimmer war kaum zu überhören. Das Frühstück, das angeblich „im Preis inbegriffen“ sein sollte, beginnt erst ab 8:00 Uhr. Als ich mir die Rezensionen durchlas, stellte ich zudem fest, dass es offenbar extra berechnet wird.
Als ich beim Ausschecken dann einen Hotelbeleg verlangt habe, dachte ich wir kamen in der Steinzeit an. Ein Fresszettel halb handgeschrieben halb kopiert was auch wieder immens viel Zeit in Anspruch nahm. Mittlerweile sollte auch im Hotel Ochsen klar geworden sein, dass wir im Jahr 2026 angekommen sind und nicht 1900.

Ich kann wirklich niemandem auch nur eine Nacht hier empfehlen – es ist das Geld nicht wert.

Pros:

The Breakfast was delicious and the lady who ran the hotel was great. We also loved the balcony in our room which had spectacular views of the mounting and a lovely space to sit outside.

Kein Wellness Hotel, aber auf dem Durchweg oder Kurzaufenthalt vollkommen OK
Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr herzlich mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, um dem alten Haus doch Charm zu vermitteln.

Cons:

Der Preis eher hoch, für das alte Hotel. Alles einfach gehalten und mit dem nötigste eingerichtet. Vermuthlich ist der Preis durch die Lage und den eher hohen Hotelpreisen am Bodensee angepasst

Hotel vecchio
Pros:

La colazione che ci ha portato la signora, salumi, formaggi, uova sode, ecc .. treccia e cornetti, burro e marmellata

Cons:

Nessuno alla reception, abbiamo dovuto chiamare un numero, e poi entrare al ristorante dove la signora ci ha fatto il check in, struttura vecchia vecchia forse anni 60, in bagno si sentiva il rumore dell'acqua che scorreva nel calorifero, mancava il fön, telecomando TV non funzionante.

Lage gut für ÖV, Bahnhofsnähe. Einfach. Zimmer mit Balkon. Preis-Leistung sehr okay. Für eine Nacht auf jeden Fall.

Cons:

Altes, etwas abgewohntes Hotel, hat aber alles, was es braucht. Etwas hellhörig.

Not a tourist hotel which we liked
Pros:

This is not a tourist hotel. It is in a small town, right next to the train station and has a good local vibe. The attached bar and restaurant were very convenient and the food was good--both dinner and the included breakfast.
