El desayuno estuvo aceptable, el personal de cocina es amable. Sin embargo, no cuentan con un menu infantil, ni se preocuparon por ofrecernos opciones para niños, no fue posible almorzar en el lugar. el Sr Luis, quien abre la puerta principal, ayuda con las maletas y entrega habitaciones, es muy servicial.
La administradora Laura, nos dio un muy mal recibimiento, nos pareció una persona maleducada y grosera. SU SENTIDO DE ATENCIÓN Y SERVICIO, ES PÉSIMO. Nos sentimos maltratados por su forma de hablar, de expresarse frente a los niños, nos regaño por no tener a la mano las identificaciones, le pedimos unos minutos y enfurecio...Trato mal a sus empleados, frente los huéspedes y niños, fue bastante incomodo. No estaban preparados para recibirnos, el timbre de la puerta de entrada no funciona, la llegada debe ser en camioneta, si alguien va en carro bajito puede dañar su carro en la carretera destapada, no olvidar el repelente hay demasiados mosquitos.

Loved the staff! They were so attentive and kind and able to meet our food needs (vegan, gluten free). Fresh food! Beautiful vistas. The property is delightful and the pool is exceptionally clean and refreshing. Also the entrance is protected nicely so that you feel secure on the property.
This is not walkable to town. You must drive because the roads are not safe to walk due to steep edges and no sidewalks. But it’s only about 4 minutes drive and super easy to get to town - there are several parking options throughout the town. Warm shower water does not work in all rooms - so be sure to ask when you book.
Hotel Kalma is an oasis of tranquility. It's out of town, landscaped in beautiful lushness, wonderful flowers and trees all around, cordoned off for true refuge and has the best pool I've yet encountered. Everything is open, the rooms spacious, lovely artwork in the halls and great room, and a surprising lovely chapel adorned with religious art, tucked away down the hill, a round masonry building that has a special suite below. In addition the breakfast was pretty good and we also liked the lunch and dinners we had there when not finding a restaurant in town.
The dirt road to get there was unbelievable. I was completely upset and thought I has made a huge mistake. Fortunately I had prepaid and didn't bolt. It turned out to be so peaceful that we extended our stay. It seems there will be a paved road coming since there seems to be a development happening nearby. Don't let the poor road dissuade you. It's a bumpy tuk-tuk 10-min. ride to the center of town. It's worth it if you value peace and beauty.
