The view. The staff. They upgraded us to the honeymoon suite which was private and gorgeous.
More space to hang and put away clothing would be great. Only bedside tables and one small cupboard, but this is a small criticism.
Excellent hotel to explore Kandy from. Stayed for 2 nights and the facilties, staff and food were all incredible! Would 100% recommend staying here if you're in Kandy.
Everything from the transfer from Columbo to the location, view, staff, infinity pool and the amazing Kings suite was fantastic. The perfect start to our vacation!

Absolutely nothing!
Loved our suite, we were in the Queen Suite which was quiet, sparkling clean and simply enormous. The restaurant had very good Sri Lankan food, we had both breakfast and dinner there. At night, housekeeping always left us an elaborate towel animal and freshly picked flowers. A lovely touch!
There were a lot of mosquitoes especially in the foyer of our building so it would help to have ventilation/some kind of incense burning here. Food in the restaurant was a tad pricey but you won't be disappointed.
The view is breathtaking!
Location was very good; easy access to all the tourist attractions. It is a charming and lovely boutique hotel. Best of all, it was the exceptional service provided by every member of the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful and always eager to please and go beyond the call of duty. Special call out to Malintha and Dash who made our stay memorable. I would recommend this to my friends and family and would consider staying here again in my next visit to Sri Lanka.

Spacious rooms in quiet location. Staff very friendly and helpful-particularly the Tuk Tuk driver who was excellent.
Very remote from Kandy centre and nothing within walkable distance. Food was very expensive for quality provided. Common areas were just ok rather than anything special.
This is the only hotel we’ve ever stayed at that stopped us wanting to go into the city we were there to visit. The second we walked through the bungalow and saw the view, we were in love! It’s a truly special, magical place and we feel lucky to have stayed. The decor is so elegant, the staff incredibly friendly and the views are just breathtaking! Cannot recommend a stay here more

Probably the best trained and warmest staff of any hotel we stayed in in the world.
The rooms are beautifully set apart & are spacious & extremely stylish. They are immaculately clean and every detail has been thought of. The restaurant area is lovely for an early evening drink and the food was amazing. The staff are attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The driver Sarath Kumara was amazing. Our train from Kandy to Ella was cancelled due to a landslide and Sarath drove us all the way in torrential rain. He was courteous and drove so carefully and gave exceptional service!

The setting was beautiful, pool was lovely. Staff were friendly and the room was a nice size. It was nice to be outside of Kandy in the hills rather than in the town.
The hot water in the shower only lasted for one shower. The food catered by the hotel, whilst it was really nice, was expensive (£100+ for two).
Most everything was terrific, especially the design, grounds and staff.
While the Sri Lankan food was great, the Club Sandwich we had for a change of pace was the worst we’ve ever had by far - literally embarrassingly bad - too much bone dry powdery bread (not proper toast) and hardly any filling. Overseas prices in USD for food leaves one feeling taken advantage of.
