Loud unacceptable army party.

Cons:

We had booked & asked for a quiet room. We were given a ground floor room right around the corner from reception. On the second night the reception told us that they had an armed forces party which would be going on until after midnight and would be loud. There was no other room to move us too. The noise was awful - no sleep for us despite ear plugs as one could predict.
They claimed they were unable to give us a discount as we had prepaid for the room. We did accept a bottle of wine but we had to ask for some sort of compensation as they would not offer room discount.
We would never have booked a room (specifically a quiet room) in the middle of a loud army party! This should have been made clear before booking and we would have arranged an alternative hotel. As such i cannot recommend this as a place to stay - more like an army barracks than a hotel.

Pros:

A Beautiful, small and quiet hotel close to the famous pedestrian street and relatively short walk to the railway station and bus station.
Varieties in buffet breakfast is very good and breakfast room is spacious having lots of natural light.

We loved Siauliai, hoping to come back soon!
Pros:

Breakfast at Šaulys was plentyful incl. very tasty fresh bread and wide selection of cheese, ham, cured salmon etc.
Location is perfect. Around a corner is a beautiful and long walking street, Siauliai Vilniaus Street.

The employees at the reception were amazing and super helpful! I traveled with a bike and they spent a lot of time explaining me in details the routes around the city! Thank you to the very much!
