Wonderful couple, very friendly service. The hotel is clean and accessible, and situated near plenty of restaurants.

We absolutely love the hosts Nira & Hank. They treat everyone like family. Greetings every time you come or go, ready to help you book tours, recommend local cuisine. The hotel is extremely clean, rooms and linen are new and fresh. The bed is firm which may not suit everyone, but we were comfortable.
We loved the location in the Nimman district, close to an abundance of food, bars, the mall and local shops and markets. But it is on a very quiet street so you never hear any noise.

There was a selection of food available every morning, fresh and plentiful. There was also coffee and tea - the perfect start to the day! This was also available throughout the day if ever you needed a little snack to keep you going.

The owners here are so lovely. We felt completely at home. The location is great for exploring the lively and artistic neighbourhood of Nimman! We loved it here.

Lovely staff – the owners are so friendly, kind, welcoming, and helpful if you need anything. They really come across as caring about people who stay at their hotel. The Hotel is tastefully decorated and has a lovely front garden where you can have breakfast or enjoy a drink. The room was also nice, better than the photos online. Comfy bed, good sized desk. Decent price and good location within easy walk of all Nimman has to offer.

Chern is a Thai word that means Welcome. It is perfect for this little oasis in the middle of busy Chiang Mai. It feels like a home and the owners are so wonderful, always making sure you have what you need. The location is also perfect. Everything is within walking distance, and when you can’t walk, it is easy to get a Grab. The hotel is quiet, with birds singing and it has a tranquil garden where the guests can hang out. Absolutely recommended

It’s a cute boutique hotel in a cool and walkable neighborhood. But, my favorite part was the couple who run it. They are lovely!

Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated hotel in a very convenient location. The owners are an incredibly friendly and service-oriented couple — he at the bar, she at reception — making you feel genuinely welcome. They went out of their way to help me recover a bag I had forgotten in a taxi. Excellent value for money, with a fantastic breakfast café just a one-minute walk away.

Quiet sanctuary in hectic city. So much prettier than in the photo. The owner couple said they want it to be real and bring surprise to customers. They run the business with honest and an attitude of fair price over the years. An impossible good deal during new years time when all other hotels are x3-10 time more expensive.
The bar and coffee is very cozy. Beautiful little garden. The bed is up to their own high standard since they live here themselves. Water is filtered.

This was my second stay at Chern. Fabulous and friendly staff, clean & modern building and rooms, and fantastic location. It’s on a quiet street near cafes, coffee shops, and a vegetarian restaurant, and just 2 blocks from the busy Nimman area. Already planning my stay for next year!

The location is perfect, nearby all the nice restaurants and cafes of Nimman, my favorite place in Chiang Mai. The room I booked is large with a very high ceiling which feels great. It is very quiet, I slept very well there. The staff is absolutely lovely, they’ve been very careful and friendly while not being intrusive at all.
