The cleanliness of the property

Wir wurden in diesem Hotel so herzlich empfangen, wie wir es noch nie zuvor erlebt haben. Wir hatten sehr spontan gebucht, nachdem sich unsere ursprüngliche Unterkunft als nicht gut herausgestellt hatte – umso größer war dann die Freude, in so einem wunderschönen Hotel anzukommen.

Das Personal war in jeder Hinsicht außergewöhnlich freundlich und herzlich, egal aus welchem Land wir bisher gereist sind – so etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt. Uns wurde wirklich jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Als der Volleyball kaputt ging, brachte man uns keine 30 Minuten später einen neuen (extra gekauft!) – und zusätzlich noch einen Fußball dazu. Außerdem gibt es so viele Möglichkeiten zur Freizeitgestaltung: Billard, Tischtennis und Kicker sorgen für jede Menge Spaß.

Auch der Service war herausragend: Unser Zimmer wurde mehrmals täglich gereinigt – so etwas kannten wir bisher aus keinem anderen Hotel.

Vor Ort haben wir außerdem eine Delfintour gebucht, die einfach atemberaubend war. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis!

Das Essen war fantastisch. Es gab wirklich nichts, was uns nicht geschmeckt hat – das ist uns in noch keinem anderen Hotel passiert.

Das gesamte Personal ist so liebenswert und herzlich, dass wir jetzt schon alle vermissen. Besonders der Hotelmanager Alok ist einer der nettesten Menschen, die wir je kennenlernen durften.

Alles in allem wurden unsere Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen. Dieses Hotel ist eine absolute Herzens­empfehlung — wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen! 💛

Location is beautiful right on the beach in a quiet area which is not crowded with a large pool. The hotel was very clean and the food was amazing.The Manager and the staff are great, and they went over and above to make the stay comfortable. They even organized a surprise dinner by the beach and beautiful bedroom decor for my parents who were celebrating their 50th anniversary accompanied by song and dance. I highly recommend this hotel

I was on a solo trip and I had a wonderful stay at this resort. The hospitality was a 10/10. Great location, beautiful white sand and a front beach with palm trees. Safe environment ( far away from the overly crowded parts of Zanzibar) very clean and peaceful. They had security guards 24/7. The staffs were all very friendly and welcoming felt like home and the chefs made delicious meals.

Our stay in Sky and Sand was just perfect. We came before main season, so the hotel was almost empty. There are nice rooms with sea view, big bed and bathroom. Great balcony to sit on and watch the palm trees and the sea, as the hotel is right on the beautiful wide beach. They are working on hotel renovation, so I think it will be even better in some time. Very good breakfasts and food. Hotel is in nice, quiet spot, only couple hotels and restaurants nearby, so you can enjoy more food options. Stuff and especiall general manager were great, treated us with hospitality and tried to fulfill our every request. They can even manage the trips around the island, like to main Stone town, spice farm etc. It was possible to pay there by card, which is big plus. We would like to go back there sometime, we already miss the positivity and good vibes :)

Michael can arrange excursions to Zanzibar's top attractions if you need any recommendations from one of the locals themselves, and he offers you really great prices too. He booked us a trip to Mnemba Island as well as Jet Skiing and Prison Island. We also had lovely long chats with him daily, as well as lovely conversations with Ibrahim behind the bar and all of the other staff members.

Evenings at Sky & Sand Resort are peaceful, with the chance to enjoy sunset views from the swinging beach beds. The laid-back atmosphere makes it easy to unwind, yet there’s enough entertainment and adventure nearby to keep you engaged. During our stay there was also another young couple who were celebrating their 1 year anniversary, and we watched as the team as Sky & Sand made a beautiful private dinner table on the beachfront for them to enjoy.

As a whole, Sky & Sand Beach Resort in Zanzibar is perfect for travelers looking to experience the island’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, and rich history at an affordable price. You’ll leave with unforgettable memories of Zanzibar’s idyllic beaches and warm hospitality, all while enjoying excellent value for your money. My partner and I had such an amazing experience, and we will be back to enjoy the new revamp as soon as it’s finished.

The hotel is located at the best place in Zanzibar direct access to the beach and near mnemba island. Very friendly staff that made me feel like home. 100% cleanness. I travelled when it was rainy in Zanzibar but still I enjoyed my stay at Sky and Sand hotel.

I recently spent my weekend at this stunning beachfront resort and had an amazing experience. The location is absolutely perfect—nestled right on a white sandy beach with crystal-clear waters, offering breathtaking views from every corner. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and spacious, and waking up to the sound of the waves was pure bliss. This resort is the ideal spot for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommend!”
The resort is also planning upcoming renovations and upgrades.

At first we didn’t know what to expect because the reviews were older and after we arrived we were amazed!
After 17 nights we experienced a perfect vacation there! Thanks to the whole staff that became like a family to us and we made a special bond with GM Mr. Alok!
The food was fantastic everything is fresh, for breakfest you’ll get fresh fruits and will make you some fresh juice!
Even they did me a small birthday party with a cake!
We really do recommend this hotel for to visit and enjoy the beautiful beach front view with this amazing team that will take care of you with their welcoming and loving approach!
In the future we will go to the same place!

Great sea-view sight, very friendly personnel, food was adapted to my needs, the room was cosy and clean, towels and sheets were changed everyday. We also has a farewell party for our group where we had loft of fun! I will definitely come back :)

I've been in Sky and Sand/ Miramont (which is the same thing) for two nights. I couldn't have it any better! It is a quiet place, perfect for relaxing or even honeymoon. They have a bungalow garden with lots of birds. The prices of the bungalows are between 40 for the basic and 50$ for the superiors. I staid in a superior which was just perfect. Big bed with mosquito net, big bathroom with hot water, AC of course. Also u can stay i a bigger building with garden- or Oceanview, which is more expensive. For me the bungalow was the place to be!!
Sitting on the veranda, looking at the birds, silent reading. Just perfect.
They have one pool in the garden with sun-heated warm water and one wind-chilled pool at the Frontside next to the beach. Also there are two bars: one is next to the front side pool and includes swings instead of barstools. I felt happy like a child with my happy hour cocktails. The restaurant is basic but with huge portions!! The breakfast is included with the price and offers omelette, coffee, tea, fruits, juice, bread which is plenty.
Best thing for me was waking up at 5.30am to see the sunrise at high tide from one of the swing-beds at the front side

The location of the hotel is nice and staff is very friendly. We stayed in a bungalow room that was ok value for money. Property is dated and could use some serious renovations and updates. The beach front pool was overcrowded, teriible music and guest smoking and drinking in the pool. Also during breakfast in the ‘restaurant’ area lots of smoking. Very unpleasant for people who love their health and fresh morning air. Breakfast was just about acceptable but the bread is so dry i needed fluid to get it down.

My cousins and I stayed at Sand & Sky resort for about a week and had a totally blissful time. Simon and all of the staff were extremely friendly and around to help with everything. We caught the sunrise and did yoga on the beach every morning followed by breakfast, which was different and delicious every day! There are plenty of comfortable spots to sunbathe, two pools, air conditioned rooms, morning and evening turndown service, great menu options (a few vegan too) and a perfect white sand beach right on the doorstep. Simon even arranged a day of snorkelling for us which included taxi and boat transport there and back for a super reasonable price! (Less than $30 per person) Only downside is the fairly slow wifi. Overall a beautiful & relaxing place to stay, would recommend to everyone.

I would definitely recommend this hotel!! Had the best week of my life!! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the most breathtaking view of the sunrise and moonrise right from my balcony. The restaurant was also lovely and there was always free wifi that worked well.

PROS:
- peaceful location right in front of the cameral beach
- spectacular view on the ocean, palm trees and sunrise
- wind at the evening which is relieving from the daily warmth
- nice rocking loungers
- high value for money
- very clean room, every day cleaning service and anti mosquito repellent spraying service
- two swimming pools
- sometimes good lunches and dinners XD

CONS:
- tasty breakfast but definitely too small portions like you are not supposed to get out of the table with the full stomach
- few times the lunch and dinner was not so good - dry chicken that tasted the same for three times but was served under different names
- high prices for drinks and food
- too hard beds, so that my back hurt a bit
- very loud music from the bar, heard very well in a room close to the bar, sleeping without ear plugs was not possible as the music was getting louder at the evening. But if someone wants a peace and quiet it is also possible at the chairs in front of the hotel.

Despite that fact I would stay there again as I always bring ear plugs and earphones with me and I didn't stay all days at the hotel. Still the price and spectacular view on the ocean wins over :)

Hotel is directly on the beach. 2 very Nice swiming pools and 2 restaurants. Staff was very frendly and very Nice atmosfere. Food is very good and fresh and they prepare very Nice Fish barbeque. Was a great holyday.

Sky and sand is the best place to go on zansibar and the people are kind , generous , friendly and sky and sand gives you a nice relaxing time with the best service possible and they always care about their customers happiness ... so this place get 1000 out of 10 .
