Villa Lu Amazon Ecolodge is situated on the edge of the Cerro Escalera Regional Conservation Area, just 5 minutes from the center of Tarapoto. The lodge features 13 rooms set amidst tropical gardens, a swimming pool overlooking the forest, a restaurant serving local cuisine, and a staff team rated 9.7 by our guests. The rooms do not have air conditioning; the cool climate of the high jungle and ceiling fans ensure a comfortable stay.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Espectacular!
Pros:

El hotel es excelente, lleno de naturaleza y animales sin alejarse mucho de la ciudad. Es exactamente como se ve en la imágenes. Además quiero resaltar la amabilidad de todo el personal. Fueron muy amables con toda mí familia.

Schöne Gartenanlage, eigenes Restaurant mit guter Speisenauswahl, bequeme Betten

Das Zimmer hätte besser gereinigt werden müssen.
Der obere Bereich (Giebel mit Sitzgelegenheit) war durch die zu kurze Leiter nur schwer erreichbar und wenig einladend. Die Ventilatoren verfügten leider über wenig Einstellungsmöglichkeiten und waren sehr laut. In beiden Nächten unseres Aufenthalts war durchgängig laute Musik aus der Nachbarschaft zu hören. Ebenso wie das Schnarchen das Gastes unter uns.

Das Personal im Restaurant war bemüht, aber langsam. Obwohl auf der Website und auf dem Instagram der Eindruck erweckt wird, die Lodge sei auf internationale Gäste eingestellt, sprach keiner der Angestellten Englisch. Als das Kartenlesegerät bei unserem Check-Out immer wieder einen Fehler anzeigte, schien der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sichtlich ratlos. Angeblich hätten wir eine falsche PIN eingegeben; wie sich herausstellte, lag das Problem aber in einer Voreinstellung des Gerätes. Wie bereits in einer anderen Rezension erwähnt, werden dem bei booking ausgewiesenen Zimmerpreis Gebühren hinzugerechnet, die nicht ersichtlich oder ausgewiesen sind.

Auch wenn wir während unserer zweiwöchigen Peru-Rundreise feststellen mussten, dass die Qualitätsstandards allgemein andere sind, als wir sie aus anderen Ländern gewohnt sind, zählt die Kantu Garden Lodge dennoch nicht zu den Unterkünften, die wir erneut buchen oder weiterempfehlen würden.

Freundliches Personal, guter Wäscheservice

Cons:

Vier Hunde auf dem Gelände. Die Tiere sind zwar freundlich, dürfen sich aber auch auf die Liegen und Möbel der Hotelgäste setzen und im Restaurantbereich bewegen - das geht gar nicht. Am Pool riecht es ja nach Wind und Position nach Hundekot aus den Pflanzbeeten.
Keine Air Condition auf allen Zimmern. Der Säulenventilator war extrem laut und musste schräg unterbaut werden, damit das Klappern aufhört.
Fliegengitter im Zimmer defekt.
Toilettenschüssel nicht dicht- Wasser läuft ins Bad.
Restaurant extrem langsam. Wir waren als 4er Gruppe im Restaurant - bis das letzte Essen am Tisch war, waren der Erste schon fertig mit Essen. Die Familienpizza ist unwesentlich größer als die normale Pizza, kostet aber signifikant mehr. Das Frühstück a la Carte - dauert ewig, ist sehr einfach und wenig. Eine zweite Eierspeise, war nicht möglich, bzw. nicht inkludiert. Das entsprechende Servicepersonal ist schlecht ausgebildet und verbringt zuviel Zeit am Smartphone anstatt bei den Gästen

De vacaciones en Familia en Tarapoto en Villa Lu no te arrepentiras
Pros:

Estuve alojada con mi familia, el traslado del aeropuerto en Tarapoto hasta Villa Lu, estaba incluído. Los desayunos son increíbles, muy variado y con alimentos de la zona. Nos quedamos a cenar la primer noche, pedimos platos variados y todo estuvo 10 puntos. La ubicación al centro es óptimo no demoran más de 8 minutos en auto. Nos sentimos muy seguros. El resort está muy bien decorado, tienes de todo en la habitación. Yerine nos ayudó en todo lo que necesitabamos, ella y el personal sumaron mucho en esta valoración.

Pros:

Die Anlage erreicht man über eine kleine Hängebrücke, ist nicht groß aber weitläufig, mit vielen schönen, kleinen versteckten Ecken, wo man für sich sein kann, inmitten von einigen grossen frei lebenden Pfauen und dieser Natur. Jede Wohneinheit steht separat, alle ähnlich entfernt vom Pool und Essbereich. Gut gepflegt! Es gibt auch einen kleinen Restaurant, das Essen dort ist das Beste, was wir auf unserer Reise fanden, unbedingt zu empfehlen. Auch sehr angenehm war das ganze Team, das immer hilfsbereit, offen aber nicht aufdringlich war. Es wurde zufällig der perfekte Abschluss unserer zweiwochigen Reise in der Region.

Pros:

The staff was amazing. They were there for your every need. The lodge was peaceful and beautiful.

Cons:

There is construction going on so during the day there was a little noise from up above. I understand they are adding more rooms to the resort so I did not mind much. It would not deter me from staying again

Nice hotel, nice staff, bad food

Beautiful grounds and swimming pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very comfortable.

Cons:

The one big negative for us unfortunately was the food and service in the hotel restaurant. On the first night we sat down in the restaurant, we asked twice for the wobbly table to be fixed and ended up doing it ourselves. We say a pizza oven with flames and bread being made so ordered bread to start. The bread never arrived. When we ordered pizza we were told they would need to check if this was possible, after checking they said it was. We then waited at least 40 minutes for the food before some came over and told us pizza wasn’t actually possible- unacceptable! Our 7 year old was extremely hungry and tired at this point. My soup was cold and the steak was tough. At breakfast the food isn’t covered so there are flies literally all over the food. This could be easily avoided by using some net coverings.

La piscina. Creo que pudo ser mas atractiva en color, limpieza. Ademas, no cuentan con te naturales, solo empaquetados.

Fuga nel Verde
Pros:

La struttura è immersa nel verde e molto vicina a Tarapoto garantendoci un ottimo soggiorno.
Il personale è stato gentilissimo e pronto a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta e a risolvere qualsiasi nostro problema.
