The owners and staff were very welcoming and attentive to my wants and needs. They worked very hard to be gracious and hospitable. I will use them again when I am back in Gulu.
The water pressure for the shower was low. But, I'm not sure there is anything to be done about it. And it didn't detract from an enjoyable stay.
Really enjoyed my time at Northern Pearl. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable — perfect for work. The Indian food was a big highlight, very tasty and authentic. Clean rooms, peaceful environment, and great service. Would definitely stay again!

Eigenlijk niets, ja misschien dat de bediende (meisje) de tip voor zichzelf hield en niet deelde. Geen probleem: de jongen die ons hielp apart een tip gegeven..
Absolutely nothing besides the staff which was nice.
There was nothing to like , I was given smelly towel. Which had been used for almost like 2000 years. No toiletries, not even a bottle of water was given. And room was so dark , just one light which like kinda not helping at all. Deceiving add about garden view.

We recently stayed at Northern Pearl for a one-night stopover before heading to Kidepo, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Sunil, the owner, was a big help and provided detailed guidance to ensure we reached Kidepo safely and was available 24/7, showcasing his genuine care. Furthermore, we were delighted to receive a complimentary room upgrade. The staff were friendly, attentive and always ready to assist. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. We enjoyed the best Indian meal we’ve had in a long time—the butter chicken was out of this world!

I loved my little cabana at the Northern Pearl in Gulu. Also the food is amazing. And the garden sure is beautiful for chilling and lounging under the shade of mango trees. Super friendly staff too.
Even with a booking.com discount - you’ll likely get a better deal if you just call the hotel and book a room.
The location is good, the individual cottages are nice and private.
The bed was very comfortable.
They also have a nice garden area to relax in.
The bathrooms are a very good size but need renovating. They are very clean but are tired and need a refresh.
The place is very nice, located in a quiet area but still close to the center. The rooms are clean, well-furnished, and very comfortable. The security is excellent, and the food is really amazing, one of the best I’ve had in recent times. The prices match the quality offered.
All the staff members were wonderful and very helpful whenever needed.
Also, the Wi-Fi is very good, perfect for meetings and work activities. The garden is really beautiful, and everything is well-maintained, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. It’s truly a wonderful place.
The only advice I would give is about the cocktails: the bartender doesn’t seem to be up to the standard of the place, and his attitude was quite arrogant and rude.
